Nowadays young singers are not aware what means to be a Mezzosoprano , maybe because the are too young and never heard what is a MEZZO VOICE and also learn singing with Teachers not able to understand the difference between Soprano and Mezzosoprano .... oh my God, what a pity !!

Stephano's aria is also performed by sopranos. And imo i think she's actually a mezzosoprano. A light one, but a mezzo.

This is the right sound to face a Role like GIULIETTA and not STEPHANE .... can you Immagine a Casting of Romeo et Juliette avec NETREBKO and this girl ?!? Netrebko’s Voice would be darker the her One ..... ah ah ah ah ah

Of course since this is a role for a soubrette or a young voice. I like this interpretation, indeed.
