Ive done this trek many times when heading to pei from Hamilton, Ontario. The scenery on the drive out east especially between Québec city and riviere du loup is breathtaking and very photographic specifically along the 132 going alongside the st lawrence. I reccomend checking out towns like notre dame du portage and kamouraska

Thanks so much for sharing! Im from the USA, and I'm hoping to immigrate to CA soon. It's nice to see so much scenery in a small timespan. The area between Quebec City and Edmundston was especially beautiful.

I was born in Edmundston in 1949, left there around Christmas 1961 with my family. My brother now owns the family cottage built by my father around 1947 at Lac Unique less than an hour away from Edmundston.

Magnífico video. Que contraste de paisajes y que zonas tan amplias. Y todo tan verde por la cantidad tan grande de vegetación... Con los otros vídeos, ya se ha recorrido Canadá de oeste a este. ¿Llegaremos a St. John. (NF)? Un saludo

Thanks so much Jose, I'm glad that you liked this video. Yes indeed these distances are huge. Unfortunately I only went as far as Halifax this time, so maybe in the future I'll go to Newfoundland. But I will do other big drives this year

Some parts of the road in Quebec seem to be in bad condition. They remind me a bit of the highways here in Puerto Rico.

Nice observation Eric, you're totally right. The worst was on the highway from Montreal to Quebec. It was like those extreme suspension tests that car companies use on new cars lol

@@travelxoverland It is sad, in 2017 I went to Canada from Niagara Falls to Toronto, then to Ottawa, to Montreal and finally Quebec City, there was some construction going on back then. It looks like the materials being used are not of good quality
@travelxoverland2 жыл бұрын
They were rebuilding it along some stretches, so hopefully the worst parts will be rebuilt too. No other province has such rough highways

Everyone needs to understand that with the very cold winters in Canada, the roadbed understructure suffers a lot depending on the types of soils. It has been like that from the very beginning and not much can be done to cure the problem other than repaving when necessary. Of course, there is a limit as to which places get a priority and sometimes it can take a while for some areas to get the proper attention.
