Heinrich, from the Ludolfinger family, was king from 919 to 936. He died in the imperial palace in Memleben, but is buried in the cathedral in Quedlinburg. If you are interested in historical, beautiful places, I would suggest that you also take a look at his favorite Palatinate in Memleben. After his death, the Roman Empire of the German Nation was founded by the Ottonians. Why weren't you on the castle hill in Quedlinburg? It's really great up there. Nice Video 🙂

@@klausklausen1700 wow thanks for the info! We were only there for one day and had a lot of things to see and film. Unfortunately it looked like most of the castle grounds were closed for maintenance while we were there. Thanks for watching! 😎

@@AdventureTimewithRobert Ah, okay. I didn't know. I have been going to Quedlinburg every now and then since the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, when the city was still in ruins. It's always very nice on New Year's Eve on the castle hill :-) You have a great view over the city and the Palatinate Museum is interesting.

Great video about Quedlinburg. Just a small addition: The "ice shop" with the dungeon is actually a cookie shop. (the "Keks Manufaktur" = cookie factory) It belongs to Quedlinburgs oldest traditional bakery which is still in business in it's 5th generation.

Thanks! My smooth brain must not have processed that in the excitement I had while visiting the place 😅 So are you telling me the "ice cream dungeon" is really a.... COOKIE dungeon?! That's somehow even better! But on a serious note, thanks for the info!

So...some more 747 shots ehh? ;-) Very very nice indeed this place called QUEDLINBURG. I am a bit embarrassed to admit that I have never heard of that very very nice place... but thanks to you Robert I have actually leaned something again today about the country my forefathers came from... So thank you again and by all means continue; proceed!

@@dutchyjhome Don't be embarrassed, apparently it's not a very well known place, it is only in the recent years that it's caught the attention of the public. Apparently tourism is catching on there and the word is spreading. I have to admit, out of all of the places we've been so far it's (in my opinion) the most beautiful overall. The people were also extremely nice and helpful as well! Glad you learned something, as I learn with each video as well. Guess sometimes we'll just learn these things together, huh? 😎
