I'm so excited. I love this performance so much. It's one of my favorites, if not my favorite. It's so hard with Queen; it's almost like choosing a favorite kid or pet. You just have to love them all. I'm so looking forward to Faith's reaction.

Queen LOVES thier fans. Probably more than any band ever bc they act on their love for us and not just the typical verbal appreciation other musicians/actors give. I say this bc Queen recently created three special videos from three of thier sings that were made by compiling tons of videos from fans from around the world. One of the videos was for this song and it showcased artwork and animation created by people from around the world and the art work went along with the lyrics. Very worth checking out! The other two they did was "don't stop me now" with fans dancing to the official choreography of the song and the other is Bohemian rhapsody which featured fans singing or playing instruments to that song. All to show us love and make us fans feel like a part of thier legacy and creations. Pretty amazing!

Freddie had the best moves. Someone once told me his poses were like superhero poses and from then on I saw that and realised this is the one human being entitled to pose like a superhero because he bloody was one!

I prefer the original (movie) version to all the others (live inc.). It's the feel of it and the guitar. No doubt tho, Freddie is the star of all versions!

Hope all us Queen fans are watching Brian May's daily posts from his home. He chats and gives us all encouragement during our isolation, and sometimes plays and sings, including teaching parts of his famous solos. The videos are all from BrianMayCom and we can subscribe. It's great to get into YT and seeing his smiling face every day! One day he and three other musicians played, each from their home, and he coordinated it like they were all there in the room.

They did two nights. Friday and Saturday. Both were filmed and recorded with a view to cherry picking the best from both. I think, however it rained for most of the Friday gig so all hopes were pinned on the Saturday gig. Saturday was not only better weather but a much better gig on the night. They killed it! Saturday was used as the official vhs/dvd. Friday was used as outtakes. This video is from the Friday.

You mentioned band names & I don’t think I ever noticed you mention the naming of the Queen. As you probably Know roger & Brian we’re part of The band Smile Which disbanded in 1970. When Freddie joined up with roger & Brian he felt the band should change its name & convinced them to adopt Queen. Freddie said he lifeless it was regal & he didn’t shy away from admitting it also had a gay connotation. Freddie as an artist then set about designing the band’s logo. “The Queen logo is certainly one of the most iconic and widely recognized logos in the history of rock music. The Queen logo was designed by Freddie Mercury who was once an art college student. He created the logo to convey a sense of British monarchy and regal feel into the band’s identity. It carries an uncanny resemblance to the British coat of arms and is a perfect embodiment of authenticity, patriotism and elegance. The zodiac sign of each band member is displayed in the emblem, which surround the stylized initial “Q”. The two lions depict Leo (Deacon and Taylor), a crab for Cancer (May), and two fairies for Virgo (Mercury). One can easily notice the crown inside the letter “Q” while a giant phoenix is positioned above with its wings wide open. Queen people, myself included, think that Brian May is the very best guitarist ever! He is very modest about it. But he has such a distinctive style, and every arrangement and solo he writes are just so perfect for each song! Doesn't get any better than that! His guitar really screams when he wants it to, but its voice is so beautiful and emotional when it sings and cries and plays melodies!

It's a Kind of Magic is from the Soundtrack of the 1986 Movie " Highlander " starring Sean Connery , Clancy Brown & Christopher Lambert in which Queen did the entire Soundtrack for the Movie , a must watch . Queen also did the Soundtrack to the Movie Flash Gordon . I've watched quite a few of these American Vlogs lately & from my prospective as a Queen fan for over 40 years Queen are much a bigger band than you think , i keep hearing folk when they listen to a song say wait ! i've heard this before somewhere , this is because Queen have had their songs in 83 Movies so far . After Freddie's death in 1990 people wondered whether Queen could survive as a group & the answer is yes they still make music to this day and they added a couple of new band members along the way , people may say it's not the same without Freddie this is true but Queen still do sold out concerts in the UK . I know Queen did the News of the World Tour in the United States back in 1977 but it would have been nice for them to return to the States & maybe played Philadelphia which was the home of the US successfully participation in LIVE AID in 1985 , Maybe America can in=vite them back before they retire , they are getting on a bit Brian May is no spring chicken anymore he turns 73 next month . This is a really good song and it's better to live like most Queen music!!! I love the records but to see them live is another experience. Even though I love this song One Vision is better and One Vision became their opener in their 1986 tour. Perfect!! Damn damn damn!! No wonder they made a movie in a biopic about Queen and Freddie Mercury! THIS IS WHY!! Legendary❤❤ I wish in some of these live performances we could see more of Roger Taylor playing the drums and singing because he's just damned good! People don't realize how hard it is to play the drums and sing at the same time and Roger hits some of those super high notes. Don't know where he finds the room in his diaphragm playing the drums to hit them but he's always on mark with Freddoe

little late... but... this was recorded one day before my 16 birthday and i was never a great fan. why? Because i grew up with so many fantastic performers at this time. It was pretty normal for me at this time... Bowie, Queen, Zepplin, Metallica startet epic with their kill em all record... and on and on. Its not the first song in the concert. They had already started girl... First song was One Vision. Anyway if a band is GOOD. They make good songs, Are good writers, and good at instruments... Studio version Will normaly not be as good as the live version. Though some songs fits better as studio version then live, but thats about composition. Like "Mustapha" for Queen. I love that song, its funny... But I cant imagine that being super good live. As I wrote this I Just rememberd I think they did play that live in late 70s sometimes. Not 100% sure.

While I appreciate your enthusiasm and enjoyment of Queen, please consider how often you stop the video. It pauses, goes out of sync, and totally kills the vibe of the song. Maybe comment at the beginning, listen to the song in its entirety (or just a short comment in the middle), then comment at the end? It will help to interpret the song meaning in whole rather than picking apart every single phrase. Queen's lyrics often tell a story symbolically and use a whole verse to get the point across. I'm not throwing any hate, just making a suggestion to make it more enjoyable for both you and the watcher. 💜
