'Queen Attends Armed Forces Act of Loyalty Parade'
The Queen has attended the Armed Forces Act of Loyalty Parade in Edinburgh where she was presented with the key to Edinburgh Castle. The ceremony is a traditional part of Her Majesty's visit to Scotland for Holyrood Week and is the second major event she has attended since her Platinum Jubilee celebrations earlier this month. I agree with your sentiment. I often get the feeling that those people who question the continuation of the Monarchy, or denigrate the RF, don't really understand the true affection that the people of the UK feel for the Queen. She "belongs" to us, in the same way, perhaps, that our own mothers and grandmothers (if we are fortunate enough to have them in our lives) "belong" to us.

How wonderful to see her accepting the Keys today. She still goes through those Red Boxes from the government in a daily basis. She is a prolific reader and is loved and respected by millions of her people. I include myself in that love and respect. I pray that God bless your Majesty Queen Elizabeth. I recall my Dad telling my siblings and I how you Ma'am, and your sister Princess Margaret used to play at Buckingham Palace. He said when you were first living at Buckingham Palace, after your Father's Coronation he was on Guard Duty in the Coldstream Guard and you would walk by the Sentry box and the Guardsmen on duty would immediately come to attention. He smiled when he spoke of this. He taught his children the importance of your family. How important the Royal family are to Britain and the Commonwealth and I for one have never forgotten this. I have grown from the time of your Coronation at aged 3 to respect and love you so much. I pray for you each day. God bless Queen Elizabeth 2nd now and always. You look so much better.
