For a really cool representation of what Avu-chan does with her high and low voice, you should check out Queen Bee's MV for Baishun kzbin.info/www/bejne/hoXWi4Crh8iKoqM (I could only find this one with French subtitles, sorry). She is dressed up as both masculine and feminine and does a "duet" with herself. She's been doing the high voice I think since the band began. The earliest thing I've seen from them was from 2011 but they formed in 2009 I think! It is hard for me to confirm this because of a lack of media in English about the band, however I am pretty sure that Avu-chan prefers to go by she. "They" would also be okay I think, but I have never seen her referred to as he in articles, and it says "she" on the band website.
