Love the attention to detail this series has to Bridgerton. George and Lady Danbury delivering Charlotte's 1st child is a sharp contrast to Simon's mother dying in childbirth because Lady Danbury is denied access to assist. Simon and Violet are in the room as Daphne births her 1st child, while Anthony isn't for Violet's difficult birth with Hyacinth...

From everything I’ve gather from interviews and stuff im pretty sure that scene was supposed to show us that Reynolds has passed away.

One of my favourite things about this show that I feel isn't talked about enough is the parallels between the Dowager Princess and Queen Charlotte; how their love for George and the stress of the situation made them callous " sorrows sorrows prayers" "Hush stop it no do not do that" and one tracked mind, the need to produce heirs to protect his reign and legacy at the detriment of others. That being said, this does not dismiss her racism I just find it interesting.

Apparently, nobody knows for sure where Reynolds is. I saw an interview with Nicola where she said that he probably fell down a well somewhere, but I think she was kidding. Either way, because they never actually explain anything, in my opinion this is unfortunately an example of the bury your gays trope, and fucking shame on you, Bridgerton / Netflix / Shondaland. However, there was an interview on Vulture with Brimsley's actor, "There’s Hope for Queen Charlotte’s Other Great Love Story," and he said: “There was a scene that we didn’t film, because it was cut, where I was going to meet the older Reynolds. He was the love of his life, and for whatever reason, they could not stay together. [...] Because of the world they inhabited, it was still a hangable offense to be gay, and it was just not possible.” It's not canon, but I think it's safe to say that Reynolds is around, they're just not together anymore. Which is still really sad, but at least he would be alive.

I researched their relationship, and he had at times years of lucid behavior. Then, months of delusional behavior. As years went on, it switched to months lucid and years delusional. So I'm sure when he was OK they were very active. 15 kids with 2 dying at 3 and 4 years old. 13 grew to adulthood. Love story for the ages ❤😢❤
