We forget that Barlows were originally the poor man's working knife and we get Buffalo Horn and chiseling, etc., and before we know it we're buying a premium knife. It's nice to see a Barlow going back to it's roots. And all those sawcut bone handles are beautiful!

I agree that the Sawcut looks really good. Sets it off perfectly.

Lovely Barlow. The texture of the saw-cut bone and gradient in the dark to light colouring👌🏻. Great blade shape as well. Lovely example of a Barlow! Great review Slippy 😁

Great video Matt. 100% a fantastic knife for the price. I was very impressed with mine. Hmmmm. my nail nicks are both on the same side.

I like the arrangement of the blades and nail nicks on this knife. The one thing that drives me bananas about my Rough Ryder Barlow is that they are opposite to this Queen knife you showed here today, which makes it a wee bit awkward to pull out the clip point blade. Thanks for sharing and Cheers!

This is a well made knife and I did not find a fault. I really like the sawcut bone scales. It has been sitting next to me for a couple months now and I find myself just picking it up and playing with it unopened like a fidget. I am very pleased with all my Queen purchases.

A fantastic value knife. Incredible covers, lovely blades. I can't think of a reason not to have one.

Looking forward to seeing them all lined up together. I'm always really tempted by a Queen, but I've always seen mixed quality and I don't want to get a dog. Impressive half stop and strong spring on that though.

I find it very interesting that your barlow the pen blade is on the otherside. Id prefer that. But thriftys and randywsg there pen blade is on the shield side.
@SlipjointSawyer Жыл бұрын
SMKW listened to the feedback, as it was quite difficult to get to the main blades nail nick 🙏🏼 it's so much better with the main blade at the front
@BaxtersBlades Жыл бұрын
@@SlipjointSawyer i just got it from smkw. Blade are opposite of yours and bone cover cracked and sharp. Oh well hopefully they stand behind there warranty. Was hoping the main blade was show side. Guess i got an older one.

@@BaxtersBlades that's very strange, Randy also got one with the blades the same as yours

Is this 2nd gen. - mine is slightly different (and I love it) - lighter tone and both nail nicks on the same side?
@SlipjointSawyer Жыл бұрын
Yessir, it's the newer style with the main blade at the front
