Great point to note at about 9.15 when both the HMS Victory and the Henry VIII's Mary Rose housing come into view.

Hi, fantastic helicopter footage, where did this come from? Nice edit thanks for sharing
@MikeBeel7 жыл бұрын
Hi, Apart from my own footage I grabbed some footage from various TV channels that were all to busy showing this footage with politicians discussing whether it was a good idea or not and how much she cost, how long before it gets fighter jets etc etc., as opposed to just admiring her arrival into Portsmouth. So I did something about it.

I'm very pleased you did - It's typical of reporters trying to find a darker angle - If they bothered to talk to the F35 Squadron they'd be told that they're training in the U.S so they'll be ready and trained to fly when the Carriers are ready for them. I produced the A/V for the QE and POW Naming Ceremonies which are now public on my site - please take a look when you have a moment. cheers Mark.

Hi Mark, thanks for your positive comments, just seems to make it all worth while. I’ve just watched your naming ceremony production and it is wonderful, well done. I find this sort of stuff fascinating. Cheers Mike.

A great ship for sending in special forces in choppers, it can do everything, it's not just for fighter jets and bombing!! Like everyone keeps on thinking! They are also Royal Marine platforms like hms ocean is.

The Government, when the designs were first drawn, was in a recession and tried money saving options but still a beautiful and massive aircraft carrier and makes us brits proud
@Radictor443 жыл бұрын
The cost savings haven't really "harmed" the carrier - it's just as potent as a nuclear carrier, even if so cheaper - the need to refuel doesn't matter as you have to feed and ship food to the carrier anyway... may as well ship fuel too!

Okay well. I live next to it and have been on it several times and it is, in my opinion very large even next to a US aircraft carrier
