The Queen Elizabeth-class battleships were a class of five super-dreadnoughts of the Royal Navy commissioned in 1915-16. The lead ship was named after Elizabeth I of England. These battleships were superior in firepower, protection and speed to their Royal Navy predecessors of the Iron Duke class as well as preceding German classes such as the König class. The corresponding Bayern-class ships were generally considered competitive, although the Queen Elizabeth class were 2 knots (3.7 km/h) faster and outnumbered the German class 5:2. The Queen Elizabeths are generally considered the first fast battleships in their day.

@@HurricaneStudios oddly enuf based on irl both nagato and QE shud be getting retrofits in the future. Both flagships had undergone heavy refits in real life at some point. QE for repairs and upgrades during the wars due to taking heavy dmg. And nagato to quite simply modernize her with a better armourment and equipment as respect and honor for being the only Japanese navy ship to survive WWll.

This made me think about the ships like Vestal, Akashi and Kashino. Their history is very interesting too since they are not exactly made to battle but for support. I hope we get more ships like them in game, maybe even a tanker ship and more different types. I'm also hopping for the other 2 QE class soon, can't wait to see their personalities in game. Great video, I really like the QE class in AL, specially Warspite, her service history is fenomenal.

Another fact about Warspite that wasn't referenced in AL! she participated in the shelling of Normandy before the landings on June 6th, 1944, she ran out of ammo a couple of times so she went back and forth from grabbing shells back home and shelling Nazis on the shores of France. She was shelling so hard that she almost damaged her own guns. Additionally, she was so unsinkable that she kind of sunk herself. She was being towed to get scrapped, but it was during a storm, so she took the chance and snapped the links that were used to tow her and she grounded herself in Prussia Cove afterwards. She was still scrapped, but not after a few attempts and damaging some equipment that were used to supposedly recover her.

I doubt the Queen Elizabeth class are loli due to their size in real life as they where the outside of the Japanese Fuso and Ise classes the largest Battleships of WW1 they where the largest until the Nelson/Rodney where built in the mid 20's and the new generation of battleships in the 1930's.

For the definition of a dreadnought you forgot to mention the need for centralised fire-control. This allows a ship to coordinate all guns so they fire at the same target and time. The QE's were super dreadnaughts because they had guns larger than 12" in this case 15". On Warspite's speed, she was often the fastest capital ship in her squadron while in the Mediterranean and as such would often steam ahead and engage enemy battleship while the rest of the squadron was still trying to catch up to her.

Just a slight correction, HMS Dreadnought, had basically no career whatsoever at all, ithink it was during WW1 she rammed and sink a U-boat and that's it haha by WW1 she was already obsolete due to her very own revolution....the irony

HMS Dreadnought was not obsolete by the time of WW1. The Bellerophon, St Vincent, Neptune and Colossus classes were essentially Dreadnought repeats with minor changes. She was part of the Grand fleet at the start of the war along with many pre-dreadnoughts to help bulk the fleet while there were insufficient numbers of dreadnoughts. She was only taken out of the Grand fleet when there were sufficient numbers of dreadnoughts and there was no room in any of the Battle squadrons for her.

Elizabeth I's reign is the start of the modern reputation of the non-AL Royal Navy. Henry VIII had started it, but in Elizabeth I's day her Sea Dogs took on the Spanish empire against the odds and were victorious. Only fitting that her name would be given to a super-dreadnaught battleship, right?

Because the current real life Queen Elizabeth is known for her love of corgis, and thus since AL Warspite is AL Lizzie’s closest companion, it’s only fitting that she’s represented as one of the Queen’s corgis (especially considering that real life Elizabeth was actually trained as a military mechanic during WWII, with her future husband serving aboard Valiant, Shropshire, and Kent among other ships during that time).

on the present day HMS Queen Elizabeth is fully Upgraded. the most Advanced Air craft Carrier of the Royal Navy. She Carries F35 Stealth fighter planes with a most advanced towers (two towers that separates for navigation and battle). a while ago, on my country, SHE visits our seas in the Philippines and in an AMPLE time. she detected a Chinese "Kilo" type Submarine. . . that the Chinese SAID its hard to be detected, but Failed to HMS Queen Elizabeth EYES . 1 - 0 to Queen Elizabeth!!
