Marc is also THE only one who is widely accepted among fans as worthy being Freddie’s and carry his music forward. Marc doesn’t have to be in Q+ to be called King of Queen. I've found heavy debates on many videos concerning Marc Martel. Here's the bottom line that's been forgotten. The band was put together and Marc was chosen to do Queen's music justice that other bands aren't able to do according to Roger Taylor and Brian May. Marc was chosen because he sounds like Freddie naturally. The added vocal mannerisms is for the authenticity of the music for the fans. Queen chose Adam because although they still perform the classics, there's a different/additional sound they are going for if and when they do anymore projects. Marc is not meant to replace Freddie, but to maintain what was done and give Queen fans, old and new, the complete package.

Hi all. I want to give my humble opinion. This guy, what he does is awesome. For me it is the reincarnation of Freddie Mercury's voice. And he is not an imitator of Freddie as I have read in comments made in other videos posted on youtube. Marc Martel naturally gets that voice that God has given him. Besides, the guy does not disguise himself as Freddie Mercury, as many impersonators of the great Freddie do. He has to do the tours with Queen, and I do not detract from Adam Lambert. He is a very good singer. It has powerful voice records, but it does not have the essence of Queen that Marc Martel does. It is perhaps difficult to explain, but let's face it, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon, who has retired from Queen, they are incredible musicians, but the strength and stage deployment was Freddie. For me the great Freddie died and Queen died. And Brian and Roger wanted to continue playing, because now they want to show off both of them, now that Freddie is no longer with us, and they put another singer that does not capture the attention of the public, and focus more on the two of them, I say for Brian and Roger. In contrast to Marc Martel with Queen, people would be amazed to go to their concerts, and hear Freddie reincarnated again in the incredible voice of Marc Martel. But Brian and Roger do not realize that the public and the fans of Queen, would love them even more because they would make us feel that Freddie came back and is with all of us, not in his own flesh, but in his voice. I even think that John Deacon would play again with Queen, and they would be that powerful rock quartet again, which amazed and moved us for so many years, until Freddie left us. Well, it's my opinion. I would like to see a concert by Queen, with John Deacon back, and with Marc Martel, not as a guest, but as the official singer of the group. And in addition to the classics, who record new albums, with the wonderful voice of Marc Martel. Greetings to all friends.

​@@danielfrench753 I saw Queen live 5 times and can't see where Marc imitates Freddie. Adam on the other hand wears a crown like Freddie did. Nobody deserves that crown other than Freddie. And if you closely listen to Marc's versions you will notice he makes better musical choices than Brian and Roger do. They adapt themselves to Adam and play slower versions of certain songs. I even would argue that Marc improves many Queen songs and play them even better than Queen did. For instance Sweet Lady and Prophet Song. Even Brian May was impressed hearing Prophet Song played as good as they did.

I've seen Q+AL twice and there is enough of the original, while Adam has made it his own and he is most certainly not imitating Freddie. As for the crown, Adam comes from a musical theatre background, so of cause he's going to be theatrical and both Bri and Rog have said that Freddie would like what Adam has done with Queen.

IMHO they did a terrible job of marketing. They didn't differentiate themselves from any other dress-up pantomime group, didn't advertise, chose a name that sounded like a cabaret show, and didn't capitalize on letting their talent be known. Drummer, Tyler Warren took Rufus Taylor's spot with the real Queen 4 years ago, and still no one has heard of him (or John Deacon's bass replacement for that matter). They only market Lambert. They toured the USA to half full crowds, then filled Canadian venues (mostly due to Marc and bassist Olivea-Doyon being from Canada) . They did a European tour where they couldn't even fill German venues halfway. Finally, after a year-long break Marc's schedule conflicted with the run up to the movie release when they added a North American tour with only two month's notice. They dropped Marc and added Brazilian Alerio Netto. Marc now has most of the original members of Queen Extravaganza in his own band, and is filling larger venues than QuEx ever did.
