A lot of fans hated GH3 and I can see why, it’s a mixed bag of Queen classics, Queen+, Freddie and Brian solo and some live tracks by Elton John and George Michael. While all the material is good in its own right, the pre Christmas 1999 release reeked of cash in. It’s a collectors piece really. Mixing band and solo became popular in the 90s, Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music, Sting and The Police compilations spring to mind. It’s not for purists but there’s a market for it!
