Freddie kept his sense of humor. I love how John, Brian and Roger rallied around and surrounded Freddie with love and affection

Yes, you are right, this song is different, sound wise, but I love it! It definitely grows over the time. It is one of the rare songs, where Freddie sang in baritone. Freddie was so very thin already. He was wearing clothes beneath the suit to cover it. Also the make up, wig and b/w covered it, so nobody really was aware what was going on. In his very last video (Those were the days of our lives) it was impossible to hide his illness, and it wasn‘t shown when he was still alive, to keep his health status private.

I love Freddie all the time, but I particularly like his smooth, deep voice in this one. and at the end where he speaks his lyric. "And there you have it". it's a clever, funny song.

Awesome! The visuals look like something Tim Burton would love! They say that Elton John was in the gorilla suit. The idea of the song was Freddie's fear of developing aids related dementia. A little tidbit, alongside badgers, hedgehogs and foxes, penguins are among Brian's favorite animals, so he had a blast with them in the shooting of this video. Also, if you look at some photos of when Brian was younger, he wore a penguin pin on his lapel. I absolutely adore him! In the words of Charlie Chaplin, "life is a tragedy in close-up and a comedy on long-shot."

Well put Diana, Charlie Chaplin had it right. And if it really is Elton in that gorilla suit I think would be perfect. He wore so many customs in his career that wearing this one for his friend makes perfect sense.

@@celticpoet21 no I didn’t say it did, I was wondering if that’s where burton got the inspiration for the look or vise versa, used to call him Freddie scissor hands when I first watched that video

@@leodurkin8539 Oh, sorry, I misinterpreted what you said. Yeah, I have been wondering that too. Same thing with John's Unicorn head as art of his costume for the "its a hard life" video and if it was inspired by Mozart's unicorn costume in the movie "Amadeus" or vice versa.

Hank is spot on, the Made in Heaven album is songs they put together,, songs on the album include. You Don't Fool Me, I Was Born to Love You, Too Much Love Will Kill You, A Winter's Tale, and Mother Love, that was the song Brian May sung the last verse in, Freddie had passed away and didn't finish the song!! 😀 😀 I have 8 Queen albums on CD myself!! 😀😀

Here’s a request. Heard A Kind of Magic live at Wembley the other day. Now it’s like an ear worm. Such a great performance. Think Hank would love it.

If you do the live version of A Kind of Magic from Wembley (it's better than the recorded version, in my opinion), select the video from Saturday night. They recorded the concert on two nights, but it was dark & rainy on Friday. Saturday's weather was clear and was the concert they chose for the DVD. It also has giant balloons of the band that were released during this song, which didn't happen on Friday.

Yes we have to do “A kind of Magic Live” I think he would like that one . Thanks 😊

Queen really didn't have a "sound", they did everything. You never knew what you were going to get with Queen, that's what made them so great. I love the instrumentals in this song, fits the whole vibe perfectly.

Hi Lovely Sassy, Innuendo was released in 1990, Made in Heaven was out in 1995, they shot this video in black and white to hide how ill Freddie was at the time one of my favourite Queen songs and videos, the Innuendo album went straight to number 1 in the album charts that year, as did the title track in the singles chart, PWR /UP is AC/DC 's 17th studio album, here's a list of all the other albums : TNT (1975), High Voltage (1976),Dirty Deeds (1976),Let there be Rock (1977),Powerage (1978), If you want Blood (1978), Highway to Hell (1979), Back in Black (1980), For Those About to Rock (1981), Flick of the Switch, (1983), Fly on the Wall (1985), Who made Who (1986), Blow up your Video (1988), The Razors Edge (1990) Balllbreaker (1995), Stiff Upper Lip (2000), Black Ice (2008), Rock or Bust (2014), and finally PWR /UP (2020), that's every studio album they've done!! 😀 😀 Stay safe lovely lady, you too Hank!! 😀😀
