Brian is on fire on Liar. He is the spine of this song and Freddie brings it home with his powerful vocals. Both of them set on the foundational drumming and bass of Roger and John. What an incredible band. The basslline on this song truly shows how talented and instrumental John really is to the band.

Badgers and Cheese on Toast ... I was extremely fortunate ... In Detroit, Michigan I saw Queen live in the 2,000 seat Ford Auditorium for the Sheer Heart Attack Tour on February 10th, 1975, The Night At The Opera Tour on February 12th 1976 at The 4,500 seat Masonic Temple, The Jazz Tour on November 10th, 1978 at Cobo Arena, The Game Tour 9.20.1980 at Joe Louis Arena and The Hot Space Tour August 6,1982 also at Joe Louis Arena. My older brother (I am #2 of 8 siblings) scored 5th row seats for the 1975 gig, and it was so incredible. In 1978 5 of us siblings and my Mom were at Cobo for the Jazz show. My Mom couldn't believe how awesome Queen was, and she kept talking about the light show for weeks. LOL Fantastic memories !!!

bull shyte. that is just pure ignorance and laziness on your part. What are they like.. I mean, I've cloned these alone in my bedroom. it isn't that hard. it is rock. Yes, NO DOUBT they were clever and had a sound. So do many bands. THey are on my top 2 list. but as a musician and producer, can't agree at all. Players have gotten better over the last 40 years. Clever... that is hard to find in any era. But selling music is what changed.. you have to look now.

spanned generations.. the decades, and their varied/very genres. Knowing Why, i don't have to ask, and these are mere rhetoric, but nevertheless to quote their track "Jealousy" off the Jazz album "how?! how? HOW?" thank you for the blessings, My Gift to Harmony, Humanity, and He who's sexuality is beyond question to any true fan/appreciator/ of person blessed with eardrums; of art, music, or performing arts. (and probably beyond the question of anyone not asexual or literally pathologically disabled "senseless" i.e. blind and deaf). THIS ENTIRE BAND, including a guitarist doubling as a published Astrophysicist PHD. Drummer/Vocalist (which is difficult enough) but also "that guy on bass," as Deacon has been called, who both would shock/surprise, in the least, any layman with their Writing Credits alone. ICONS! IDOLS! LEGENDS! Each and everyone of them(ABSOLUTLY!) in their own right. GOD BLESS THESE MOTHERFUCKERS, I WISH I HAD A JEALOUS BONE IN MY BODY. Stunned Humility and Grace Abound, Ise Valentine

For a man who, in the movie, said that he didn't play instruments, Freddie plays a darn good piano! He's a delight to watch and listen to. I love the way they interact and play off each other. Their individuality's evident while, at the same time, they become the group, "family" of which they've spoken. The 70s - those were high school & some college days for me. I'm amazed at the clothing. Oh, yeah, that was the 70's! MTV, you really made a mistake, pushing them off because of the one video! I'm loving the extra clips, interviews. You know what the best part is about the band Queen? Their music is timeless... so ahead of their time in the 70's and even the 80's. The music you heard then is even better when you hear it today. I guarantee the surge in sales after the movie Bohemian Rhapsody was tremendous and they are all people who either never heard them before or didn't realize how good they were. I was too young to see Queen in the 70's and an idiot for not seeing them in the 80's but we all have regrets. Every band member other than Freddie is underrated in my opinion. Thank you for literally decades of listening pleasure... the only music in a mix that I never fast forward through or skip.

Queen and Mozart jell really well together in the fantastic dvd Ballet for life. I have never seen anything as moving in my life. And so think I @NH Queen's music is the most incredible like no other is. And Freddie Mercury's voice is the more beautifull I've have already heard. Me, a doctor woman who used to like classical music and who rock and roll sounded bad to my ears... Freddie and his band touched my heart, so intense it was. He voice came from his soul and in every song, he was entire into the sound. Really wonderfull. Someone that it takes hundred years to be compaired. And above all, the was a very good person. Zero arrogance. Zero haughtiness He was only "he" and his feelings, creativity, intelligence.... I miss him too much.

I love Queen in the 70's, it was real rock compared to the 80's. I love all albums from the first one to Jazz and the last one with Freddy!!! I don’t even remember which album I got my hands on first - the third or the first, but it was amazing. There were difficulties in understanding the great Night at the Opera, but the years of "driven" enjoyment for the rest of my life! Of course, and memories of youth, trips to the "flea market" for new albums and Queen as well. Hello everyone from Ukraine!

Especially Freddie, it's amazing how much he changed from.1975 to 1985! He grew up, filled out a bit, worked out & got muscles. His voice changed too, still recognizable, but deeper & richer. In his 20s he had a clear, bell like quality. He never really lost it, but it changed.

The Beach Boys recording engineer said that Brian Wilson's song writing was up there with Duke Ellington. Fleetwood Mac's Rumours sold over 40 million alone. Which is more than any other band. Beatles is second with St Pepper. And every band I mentioned had/has extraordinary talent, voices, melodies and songs, or they wouldn't have lasted very long.

Like you, I grew up with queen, and to experience every step as it happened was amazing. You can’t get that over to people who weren’t there. I remember trying to extract the meaning from the lyrics. Learning all the words from the album sleeves. The music was somewhere I could go to be happy.

I think John Deacon loved Freddie so much and was simply devasted when Freddie died and that's why he no longer wanted to perform any more. Just a thought.

Yeah I think he was pretty much done and felt the music had died with Freddie when he died. He was just lost, because Freddie was so flamboyant and brought the music to life. 👍

Freddy was a legend and we are all very privileged to get access to this. Imagine only being able to experience this live without the ubiquity that the internet provides. What a timeless performance and I’m glad it’s been preserved for posterity.
