In a few books about him, they said Queen was recording when he was very very ill and he would down some vodka to kill the pain and just belt it out...💔❤️ At the very end they went back into the studio to shield him from public scrutiny and also from traveling, and they closed in around him in a circle of protection in the studio, like a womb. All of the band members said they had such a great time during those days when it was just them recording and focusing on their music. There was no bickering, they were concentrating on just being together and making music

It was written for the last Queen album, with the same title - "Innuendo". It's credited to the whole band, but was mostly written by Freddie and Roger. Some of the lyircs make sense when you remember that Freddie was very ill during that time and didn't have much time left to live. The official music video of this song is a masterpiece and won several awards.

Not a song - a piece! Freddie's perspective on the pain and the beauty of the human experience, in a world filled with mystery and so many unknowns. Humanity has persisted in hope, beauty, and joy despite also so many people engaged in hatred, greed, injustice, and false beliefs. Freddie nearing death was so full of questions and openness to all experience. He wished to see truth revealed and the mask released, to surrender his ego, and not have to rely on the innuendo and hinting of a Greater Truth. At least, that's what I think the words and the music spanning so many styles are about. So glad you finally reacted to this.

Freddie Mercury is the definition of musical genius for the 20th century. The Queen wrote and performed songs that are far ahead of their time. Freddie Mercury's addiction to perfection in his live performances strongly reminds me of Mozart's perfectionism in the 18th century.

Phenomenal! Queen's music is always full of surprises and they bring something to the table to satisfy every sense! Not only are they a band of transcendent geniuses that stand the test of time, but of deep thinkers that border on (if not totally) philosophical! You have got to check out the official music video! Each member of the band was illustrated in homage to a different artist or artistic style: Freddie Mercury in homage to Leonardo Da Vinci, Brian May after victorian etchings, John Deacon in homage to Picasso, and Roger Taylor after Jackson Pollock. Also, the flamenco part was played by a guest musician Steve Howe.
