@@tristandelacruz2213 From wiki.org., "Innuendo" began as a jam session in Switzerland amongst Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon in spring 1989. Freddie Mercury was upstairs and heard them playing the beat, and turned it into a song, creating the melody and starting off the lyrics. From then on all four worked on polishing the track and Taylor took over the lyrics (which were written as a tribute to Led Zeppelin and their song "Kashmir"). The middle section, written by Mercury, was included later and it featured a synth-orchestra programmed by producer David Richards and a flamenco interlude played by Yes guitarist Steve Howe, who had come to visit them and was asked to play.

Queen are not underrated... I mean they are one of the greatest bands ever. If you want something underrated from late Queen try to listen to Bijoux
@badwolfarchives3246
@badwolfarchives3246 5 жыл бұрын
the Valente Now I never said that Queen were underrated, I said this particular song was. When you think Queen you think Bo Rap, I Want To Break Free, Under Pressure etc... This song doesn’t usually get all the recognition and really I think it should, and not just in terms of Queen but in terms or Rock as a genre... it’s that good. Bijou is a fantastic song and that too is underrated, and deserves more love.
@thevalente8358
@thevalente8358 5 жыл бұрын
@@badwolfarchives3246 sorry for my wrong interpretation. I totally agree: this song is my favorite, but it gets less recognition then some of the most famus Queen pop songs (I want to break free, another one bites the dust, we will rock you etc.) even if theese songs aren't as meaningful and musically interesting as this masterpiece. But honestly I have to say that saying "underrated" to a lead single of an album that topped the charts after its release is an exageration
@badwolfarchives3246
@badwolfarchives3246 5 жыл бұрын
the Valente the Valente Well if you look at the grand scope of it all, this song doesn’t get recognised all that well nowadays, especially now that Queen are getting more followers by the day. And for that, I classify it as underrated even if it topped the charts back when it was released. In the present day, it’s a hidden gem. No worries for wrong interpretation.

It's a roller coaster ride. A true masterpiece.

Agree! That man was unique! It will never happen again! Freddie was Napoleon of British pop, rock, metal, twist, flamenco and blues music. He was really an original artist and musician, and we would remember Freddie and the Queen very long in our life. And even next generations would recognize that music and masterpieces like something valuable and excellent from The United Kingdom. Because there were The Beatles and many good bands, but there was the Queen and Freddie Mercury too. RIP to Freddie!

@@MetalDeathHeadAgree! I listen Freddie Mercury and the Queen last 32 years. I started when I was 16 years old and that was a sad year, because 1991, on 24th of November, Freddie Mercury died. But, he was legend of that passed times and he is still a legend today. He got also a big impact on British and European, even a world pop and rock music. The band Queen too. Because, even Mr Mercury was like a God, other 3 members of the band was excellent writers of the Queen songs, guitar players, drum player, performers, ect. The band, vocal singer, players were like one unique masterpiece on British rock scene what will be written forever in British and world music scene. Once, I was said my friends that Freddie Mercury was like a Napoleon between all British musicians and I do not get sorrow for that words even today. He really was somebody and we will remember Freddie and the rest of Queen band forever.

I don't know if I'm the only one who got this feeling, but I think this really is Freddie's ultimate "testament song", even more so than The Show Must Go on (which on the contrary was a poem by Brian). It exudes will to live and carrying on no matter what from start to finish. And don't get me started on how musically rich and perfect it is. All of this is why I regard Innuendo as the best Queen song as well as a favourite personal one.

lyrics: One two three four Ooh ooh While the sun hangs in the sky and the desert has sand While the waves crash in the sea and meet the land While there's a wind and the stars and the rainbow Till the mountains crumble into the plain Oh yes, we'll keep on trying Tread that fine line Oh, we'll keep on trying Yeah Just passing our time Oh oh While we live according to race, colour or creed While we rule by blind madness and pure greed Our lives dictated by tradition, superstition, false religion Through the eons and on and on Oh, yes, we'll keep on trying, yeah We'll tread that fine line Oh oh we'll keep on trying Till the end of time Till the end of time Through the sorrow all through our splendor Don't take offence at my innuendo Duh duh duh duh duh duh duh Duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh You can be anything you want to be Just turn yourself into anything you think that you could ever be Be free with your tempo, be free, be free Surrender your ego be free, be free to yourself Oh oh, yeah If there's a God or any kind of justice under the sky If there's a point, if there's a reason to live or die Ha, if there's an answer to the questions we feel bound to ask Show yourself destroy our fears release your mask Oh yes, we'll keep on trying Hey, tread that fine line (Yeah) yeah We'll keep on smiling, yeah (Yeah) (yeah) (yeah) And whatever will be will be We'll just keep on trying We'll just keep on trying Till the end of time..... I first heard this in 1992 after I bought the CD. My brother and I had a bit of smoke and I cued this song up. We were stunned. Unlike Kashmir, this song is a genuine musical journey. We immediately played it again - as though the first listen was some product of the fine smoke we had. An epic day in music discovery. Freddie went out at the top of his game.

I lost my mother fifteen days ago today. It was sudden, unexpected, and tragic. She died five days short of her 65th birthday, had plenty of stuff left to do... And today, my favourite part from maybe my favourite song, hit harder than ever: "If there's a God or any kind of justice under the sky, If there's a point, if there's a reason to live or die, If there's an answer to the questions we feel bound to ask... Show yourself! Destroy our fears! Release your mask!" But also: "Yes, we'll keep on trying!" "Tread that fine line!" "Yes, we'll keep on smillng!" "And whatever will be... WILL BE!" Love you, Mom! Always will carry you on my heart... till the end of time. Thank you, for you were the most loving mother I could ever have dreamt of. I was blessed. And thank you, Freddie, John, Roger and Brian, for helping me channel these feelings.

bohemium rapsody was queen's first great work of art. But this was probably the second one (although most of queen's songs are simply fantastic and beautiful - and is difficult to chove the best). But this music is so "strange", "different", with so many mixtures of sounds and types of music, ... only someone "very innovative", "with a certain dose of madness", without fear of taking risks and who believed in what he was doing could have made this song. thank you queen😘. Thank you freddy. And in 70ths and 80ths they were amazing making the videos for the songs. the new generations could learn something...
