@@tristandelacruz2213 From wiki.org., "Innuendo" began as a jam session in Switzerland amongst Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon in spring 1989. Freddie Mercury was upstairs and heard them playing the beat, and turned it into a song, creating the melody and starting off the lyrics. From then on all four worked on polishing the track and Taylor took over the lyrics (which were written as a tribute to Led Zeppelin and their song "Kashmir"). The middle section, written by Mercury, was included later and it featured a synth-orchestra programmed by producer David Richards and a flamenco interlude played by Yes guitarist Steve Howe, who had come to visit them and was asked to play.

I don't know if I'm the only one who got this feeling, but I think this really is Freddie's ultimate "testament song", even more so than The Show Must Go on (which on the contrary was a poem by Brian). It exudes will to live and carrying on no matter what from start to finish. And don't get me started on how musically rich and perfect it is. All of this is why I regard Innuendo as the best Queen song as well as a favourite personal one.

the Valente Now I never said that Queen were underrated, I said this particular song was. When you think Queen you think Bo Rap, I Want To Break Free, Under Pressure etc... This song doesn’t usually get all the recognition and really I think it should, and not just in terms of Queen but in terms or Rock as a genre... it’s that good. Bijou is a fantastic song and that too is underrated, and deserves more love.
@thevalente8358

@@badwolfarchives3246 sorry for my wrong interpretation. I totally agree: this song is my favorite, but it gets less recognition then some of the most famus Queen pop songs (I want to break free, another one bites the dust, we will rock you etc.) even if theese songs aren't as meaningful and musically interesting as this masterpiece. But honestly I have to say that saying "underrated" to a lead single of an album that topped the charts after its release is an exageration
@badwolfarchives3246

the Valente the Valente Well if you look at the grand scope of it all, this song doesn’t get recognised all that well nowadays, especially now that Queen are getting more followers by the day. And for that, I classify it as underrated even if it topped the charts back when it was released. In the present day, it’s a hidden gem. No worries for wrong interpretation.

Magnificient. No words. Queen is the most legendary and iconic band ever. Their music does not have any limits. It is not “a rock”, it is not “an opera”. Even not a theathre. It is EVERYTHING. And it is pure art. Which stucks in your brain and heart for life. More than words can say. Period. Freddie, why oh why you left us so early... But your music and stage presence will live forever. You are the biggest star of all generations. You were, are and forever will be a musical genius. The voice. The actor. The soul. No one compares to you and will never be able to replace your legacy. Your depth, talent and charisma-one in a lifetime. I hope this music will live forever.

Everyone is talking about how impressive the singing and instrumentals are. But nobody is talking about the lyric meanings. It is talking about why we are here, and what is our point. It is a conversation with God, asking those questions. It states that we will keep on trying to get a greater power to show themselves. They are still trying because their world is getting ruined by corruption, and humanity needs help. It is a hidden "innuendo" because this is not a popular subject. The music gets more intense as the speaker gets angry with God, or the greater power. Why won't it show itself and help them? But the endings is when the singer realizes that the greater power will not show themselves, but we will still keep on trying. I got this idea from Song Interpretations. Go check it out :)
@brunolobo7977
@brunolobo7977 4 жыл бұрын
Nice interpretation. The singer seems astonished at the ruination of mankind and about the apparent silence and indifference of God in face of the evil on earth. It seems to me thar the o e who speaks states his determination to do his best, keep his head up and do the right thing and not give up from the righteous road, no matter how confusing and disappointed he is about God. It resembles the Bible book of Job, who had his life ruined, had questions to God but was furious because God did not show himself until the end was near.
@brunolobo7977
@brunolobo7977 4 жыл бұрын
But in the end God showed himself to Job and was humble, although He is the Sovereign, the Almight being, and He rewarded Job generously. I believe God han not forgotten Freddie. Someday he will be raised again and God will comfort him.
@angelmoore5687

That's a great interpretation, I also think it talks about us as a people doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Like when he's saying our lives are dictated by tradition, superstition,false religion, through eons, and on. We keep following the same path, so as a result we keep running in circles.

this is not only just a Masterpiece of Art, in my opinion, this is probably their darkest song they've ever created. the 'haunting' music, their epic & grandiose music arrangement, the much deeper lyrics (written by Freddie at the brink of his death, having basically the existential crisis, asking all the BIG questions about Meaning of Life, death, mortality, God, etc etc), even the 'haunting' & abstract music video! you can see from all those factors, that this song is basically LIFE itself; the Existence itself; the Universe; even GOD! as much as I love and view Bohemian Rhapsody as one of their Masterpiece too, but in my opinion, this song (sadly very underrated) is on a whole another level! I view this song as probably one of the greatest relic Humanity/Mankind left, in this vast Universe, Cosmos, & Existence... as a testament of our existence... that's how deeply profound this song is!
