I instantly stopped watching what I was to watch this... I was triggered because my old friend didn't understand motherhood saved her life but it was very obvious she could've and would've likely ended up a hurt hoe and by hurt I mean physically and emotionally and spiritually if not for focusing on her kids. She's "that type". She would always tell me to not have kids when I talked about how much I wanted to be a mom. They were not bad kids! They just needed activities outside the hood that was a very clear danger to them. However she was just another parent turning into their parent. The cycle may never stop as far as the collective goes. Side note: I appreciate seeing the interviewee alone! Its about her and it helps it to be so.
