Queen Latifah, Remy Ma, Mary J. Blige, Angela Rye and Maxine Waters all participated in the Empowerment Experience during the 2018 Essence Festival.
Remy Ma spoke about why it's so important to stick to a cause instead of merely doing it for the 'gram, Mary J. Blige shared the importance of being yourself in light of criticism, and Queen Latifah got a bit emotion when asked about her biggest supporter (her mom).
