I Reacted to two songs they were Queen - Now I'm Here (Live at the Hammersmith Odeon, 1975) and also Queen - In The Lap Of The Gods (Live At The Odeon - Hammersmith 1975). This was a special Christmas Eve concert called a "Night At The Odeon" ( a play on Queen's recently released album, "A Night At The Opera"). It was filmed and broadcast all over the U.K. by BBC TV and radio. It was the first time that Bohemian Rhapsody was performed live. Queen released a live performance album of the concert. It was a sold-out show of 5,000 in the Odeon theatre in Hammersmith. Brian May later recalled: "This concert was very special because it was the first time we ever played a whole show completely live on TV.

I love these songs. This is the revisited version of In the Lap of the Gods. There is a truly awesome version at the Rainbow concert. A totally different song really, but has the same title and I Love it! Roger’s falsetto will make your hair stand on end! They do the revisited version and Now I’m Here at Wembley and it’s so interesting to compare them. By 1986 Freddie was completely at ease in his own skin, so confident and relaxed on stage, and had totally perfected the art of getting a crowd involved. Hammersmith and the Rainbow were small venues, but certainly that time of their career, they were huge milestones for them. Playing in front of 72,000 people in an open air stadium like Wembley is a whole different ball game. So please watch Now I’m Here at Wembley. You won’t be disappointed I promise

NOW I'M HERE written by Brian May, is about the hard, fast, good and bad times of extensive touring, which the band did during their first few years. unfortunately Brian May fell ill near the end of the tour with severe hepatitis and spent many of the sessions for Sheer Heart Attack recovering in hospital. He since admitted that he was nervous that the band would find a replacement, and he was determined to keep working to stop that from happening. As it turned out, the band never even considered replacing May, and even left space in the songs they were already working on for him to add his parts when he was healthy enough. Even so, "Now I'm Here" is one of May's first songs that he wrote for the album once coming back to health, and the loud and strutting nature of the song suggests the tone of a man re-energized and ready to play again. LAP OF THE GODS: Beyond one's control, in the hands of providence.

Even back then Freddie and the boys wanted the audience to be part of the show and that's what made Queens concerts so memorable and their songs so great, it was all for us, we knew it and we felt it too! It was all about the fans with Queen, they loved us as much as we loved them. I've been watching a lot of your reactions and I must say your a real pleasure to listen to. Omg Lap of the God’s takes me every time spesial from this consert, it so mezmeraising seeing him singing in profail.....ai wich this song at list had been much longer! This was on christmaseve -75, his face, voice and the band, the best who have been on earth ever..lol 👑🎤🎹

Fantastic!! 1975 Bohemian Rhapsody was just released! “Down in the city just Hoople & me” (When Queen toured America they opened for Matt the Hoople). IN THE LAP OF THE GODS is a fan favorite!! I LOVE the way Freddie sings this song!!! Pure emotion! Goosebumps!! 💗🌸💗🌸 OMG!!

I agree - Now I'm here live at Wembley 1986 -- such a different vibe 11 years later! Queen at its peak! Also, this is In the Lap of the gods revisited. The only live version of the original "In the Lap of the gods" is at the Rainbow 1974 (I don't think they ever played it live on tape again).

These 2 shows were major milestones for them. Your other 2 fer was great too. For me Now I’m here Hammersmith 79 is the best. This performance is very slow compared to the others mentioned. Written by Brian this song has a great back story. “Oh la la” In the Lap of the Gods (revisited). “Believe me life goes on, and, on ,on...” so good ☺️ I feel Their early sound early was in part was bc of the venues. Freddie did well in the ‘80s but singing to >20,000 sized venues is very different than singing to 80,000+ outdoor arenas.

I love this concert. Christmas Eve and it was being televised live. It was a really big deal for them. Both of these songs, but particularly Now I’m Here, are absolutely phenomenal at Wembley. It’s even better! It’s a much bigger stage for one thing, and Freddie is running everywhere. I urge you please to do it

You should compare this performance of "Now I'm Here" to the one a Wembley in 1986. Much bigger audience with an older and more experienced Queen. It is amazing!

Believe it or not, this version of In the Lap of the Gods is the one WITHOUT Fred doing the high notes. Hard to blame him, but it's only a taste of how crazy good he was.
