While obviously Princess Ileana has a Romanian accent (and Archduke Anton has an Austrian accent), the way Queen Marie talks is how I imagine Queen Victoria talked. Victoria was, after all, her grandmother, and though both were English, they had German influences in their upbringing. Queen Marie has a royal English accent but it's sharp and has an ever-so-slight Germanic flare to it. Queen Victoria, raised by a German mother and a German governess, probably spoke similarly. The accent Irene Dunne used when she portrayed Victoria in The Mudlark (1950) is very close to Queen Marie's. May of Teck also had a similar accent.

I don't think Ileana has a typical Romanian accent whatsoever. The aristocratic English influence is obvious. Queen Margaret of Denmark and her son, Prince Joachim, speak flawless English of an old-fashioned type without a foreign accent.

That’s how I expected Queen Marie would sound, there is the very royal British accent but tempered by her girlhood years in Coburg and many decades of living in Romania. Terribly poshy and royal through and through, how wonderful to hear this.

Every time I hear Ileana as a young woman, her voice reminds me of Ingrid Bergman. And before trolls get on here and start nitpicking, I didn't say they were identical. That's just who her voice reminds me of. Scroll on by if you don't like my comment.

Ileana sounds like all Romanian women do in English in the 21st century. Interesting how little Romanian phonology has changed since a hundred years ago.
