I love the QM2 and will be taking another trip on her in the upcoming months. I hope she's still going strong, though I've heard covid may have taken some toll on her. Anyway, I've privately messaged you.....if/when we connect, I can give you more details.

How was your cruise? I have read one particular damming review which makes me nervous about my upcoming trip.

I film cruise/ocean liners and other ships either from land or from another boat. I was not on Queen Mary 2 and never have had the opportunity to sail on her. Perhaps there are Facebook cruising forums that you can solicit reviews from? I hope to sail on her one day would love to hear about your experiences. If you sail from NYC, let me know in advance - I’d love to get you in frame 😉

I sailed on her about six years ago. I've heard mixed messages about the current status, and I, like you, am wondering what the situation will be like when we sail on her later this year. On the one hand, she was just given a refresh in drydock a few months ago. On the other hand, I've heard staffing levels have been reduced (though I'm not at all sure this is true). Based on my prior voyage, it was absolutely wonderful. Even if she doesn't have quite the same luster, I expect it's still a marvelous experience. Time will tell--and enjoy your cruise.
