The bracelet with a miniature is not a portrait of queen Josefina but of queen Josefinas mother, duchess Amalia Augusta of Leuchtenberg, empress Josephine's daughter-in-law. The miniature is painted on ivory with a brush with only one hair. The bracelet has nine rows of pearls, and the miniature is framed by 236 diamonds in 3 rows. The Duchess is pictured wearing lace - an incredibly beautiful work! Her Majesty Queen Margrethe is very fond of the bracelet she once told me. But she has not worn it for years.
