OMG! FINALLY, a channel which doesn't use an AI voice. Even the minor mistakes in pronunciation is welcome, compared to AI fake voices now littering KZbin. You might want to invest in a better microphone though. The video has a low volume and a bit of a "tinny" sound. But, the content is solid and I hope your channel grows quickly!

Great contents always, but have problems with the volume, not being loud enough. Please make it LOUDER!😊

You can always use subtitles which are automated, wear headphones and/or turn up the volume

@@RadioWhoPoo I have the volume turned up to 100% and the narration is barely audible. Subtitles are the really the only option.

@@michaelcioni8599 hmm there are no comments on volume for the same videos on Rumble. Maybe try headphones?

@@RadioWhoPoothe volume is fine. Sounds no different than any of the other videos I've just watched, in fact I had the volume set down a little.

Hello. I truly love your channel. Your voice is so very much down to earth , charming and yet simple . There seems to be a warmth about you when you conduct your documentary on the classic Hollywood stars of the golden age of cinema. You have a style all your own . Good Stuff ! Thank you...

Nice. Fortunately i activated english subtitles because it is difficult to understand english talking. I live in France and was interested at the past about Hollywood movies and stars. I watched lot of movies 10's, 20's, 30's, 40's,50's area. Your documentary shows difference between the legend made by Hollywood and the reality. About Myrna Loy, the ambiguty is strong. She wrote lot of things in her autobiography that we can doubt. She said about her abortion that she was not hurted but finally we learn that she was. She said she don't believe affairs with married men and she had one with Horblow Jr while he was married. She considered him as the love of her life and admitted later that it was Spencer Tracy. I think Myrna Loy had an affair with Spencer Tracy and wanted to start a serious love relationship with him after her divorce with Hornblow Jr (Tracy who hurted his wife because of his extramarital affairs). Also ambiguity with the "mental cruelty". Otherwise, she always portrayed the perfect wife and I think that didn't help her during her career. Good luck for your work.

for a long time she is the actress that i like most besides being an actress she was a real lady.

I first saw movie with her about 35 years ago and in less than a year I've sen at least 10 more, she became my favorite actress of Hollywood golden age and not only that by reading people talking about her her life off scream her fight against prejudice and her being a liberal made even love her more, until know I've seen most of her movies including some silent ones.

Thanks. I read in many books that she had an affair with Spencer Tracy. To Alan greenberg, Loy repeated that she was in love with him and repeated several times "I loved him". Probably, Myrna Loy wanted to be in relationship with Spencer Tracy but he refused to divorce and prefered Katharine Hepburn.
@RadioWhoPoo Жыл бұрын
Yes. In all of Tracy's love affairs it's hard not to feel terrible for his wife, who apparently knew nothing about Hepburn's relationship with him based on Hepburn's recent Netflix biopic.
@Jeanne90275 Жыл бұрын
Actually, the only man Loy ever loved was her first husband, Arthur Hornblow, Jr. although she spoke fondly of co-stars Tracy, Gable, Grant, and especially William Powell.
@RadioWhoPoo Жыл бұрын
@@Jeanne90275 Arguably the only man she loved was her father but yes she did love her first husband and stuck around for him while he remained married to his wife.
@charleslechesnier3931 Жыл бұрын
She was not clear in her autobiography. There were lot of differences between her writings and facts. Yes she wrote that Hornblow was the love of her life, after she said that it was Tracy during a interview and also Leslie Howard. But yes she loved a lot her father who died when she was young. Very ambiguous actress

She claimed that her relationship with William Powell was more of a big brother/little sister style relationship.@@Jeanne90275

Very Poor sound but turned on the subtitles. Myrna is definitely one of my favourite Star actresses of the Golden Era. I first encountered her on 70s TV and will be honest that didnt cleave to her right away, I found her "odd looking" and her voice a bit uninteresting....but once I read a bio and articles on her career, my appreciation of her career and diverse roles she played grew higher. of course, I love her in the Thin Man series and even as the bi-racial villainess in Thirteen Women (32) . I adore Myrna Loy for her quiet Civil Right Rights activism and United Nations work-----she used her Celebrity Privilege to make a difference ! I too grew to love that turned - up nose, the lush auburn hair and her quiet elegance and Humility in later interviews. A shame the Academy never honoured with an Oscar during her career years, the "Honorary Oscar" seems a bit patronizing. Curiously, while Loy's name seems to be "fading"----no one under 40 seems to have heard of her-----Original Images of her bid for big dollars on Ebay ! I own several gorgeous portraits from 1928 - 1934 !

Totally agree that Myrna seems virtually unknown to younger generations. The vast majority of viewers on this video are 65+

The correct pronunciation of the great actress who inspired Loy is Dusahh spelled Duse.

this is awful and poorly done. Unable to hear - this should be remade with the sound louder. The only way to watch this is to cast it to a TV with the volume up to 81. One would think that a video would be checked before posting. The info is very good however.
