there's only 2 episodes left but they haven't given us a backstory of miscarriage, still pushes the villain trope, and really just wants the leads to suffer.. Ji won and soo hyun’s acting are the ones saving this drama!

I’m not saying this series is perfect, but 1031 was already explained CLEARLY and yes the villain trope is a thing but it’s been hinted at since the start of the series 😅 (I do think there should’ve been more to his character tho) Also the leads suffering has BEEN the gimmick, and at least for now she had the operation so it’s more likely she won’t die in the end.

Hae in was shocked to her core seeing Hyun Woo kneel and break down when he thought she was in the burning car. He showed strength in the several times Hae in needed him and so when she saw him helplessy crying, she imagined how worse he would be when she dies.

I think the fact that they called it a "surgery" may have confused some viewers. Procedure is more accurate. When a pregnant woman goes in for an ultrasound, it isn't called surgery. Happy to see Hae-in beating all the odds to survive the procedure and her memory loss.

well, in a pregnancy ultrasound, the mother isn't under anaesthetic tho. While Haein had to get the general anaethesia and even the doctor mentioned it's a sensitive one. While they do not cut open her body, it's still a pretty big one because it involved one of the most delicate organ of human body; the brain.

Sorry, but your explanation of the ultrasound surgery is very wrong. During the ultrasound examination, e.g. vets shave off the hair because a contact gel is applied to the area so that the ultrasound penetrates through the skin into the tissues. You can't do that with human hair. Ultrasound does not work through any fur. I don't know if such an operation exists, but what they invented in the movie is a crappy fiction.

Good series, but the portrayal of the Hong family by the script is very bad. Everyone is very naive, the daughter has a very serious operation ahead of her and neither the mother nor the father are flying to Germany. The villain always lives in the same house and can do as he pleases, empty Hae In's apartment and no one can stop him. The devil continues to get all the information from the family; no one has had the apartment checked for listening devices. So a stupid and naive family. It's not really clear what the future will bring, will Hae In get all her memories back or will her aunt tell her about the devil, we don't know! When I see the author's other series, the happy ending will only take place in the last 20 to 30 minutes of EP 16. I wish everyone a nice 4 days :-)

I’m a little disappointed in the series. I was hoping for a show that focused on a power couple that, despite their marriage troubles, would work together to get back what the family lost. Instead, what we got was a wife that’s terminal ill and is focused on a cure and reconnecting with her husband; while psycho tris to steal her away from her husband. Meanwhile, the husband does all the heavy lifting in regaining the corporation and helping his wife find a cure. If you’re someone who is looking for a show that focuses on a power couple who works together to help save an empire and at the same has to deal with marriage problems, such as in-laws and managing a large household. I highly recommend The story of Ming Lan. It’s one of the best historical dramas I’ve seen.
