Believe me, guys. If you were a teenager in the early 70's, the way Queen looked at that time was the epitome of cool. Freddie in black satin and the white outfits at the Odeon Hammersmith (you did "White Queen" from that) & in the BoRhap video? Oh, yeah. Brian in flowy garments? Yep. We loved it. And actually I would've preferred Freddie's & Roger's hair even longer..like down to their cute little butts. So try not to be too amused. Millions of us loved the look & still do. And even though I love 80's Queen, I love 70's Queen maybe a bit more. They rocked harder then & were more experimental. And that's when the original first wave of fans and the world fell in love with them.💙 Btw, really hoping Stan watches the movie soon. Now that most of us are spending all our time at home maybe he can. I think you'll really enjoy it, Stan!💙Brian, keep reminding him. Also I suggest "Keep Yourself Alive" from that same Rainbow show. Great song & great energy.💙

it's so weird to me that many still to this day consider Queen a glam-rock band))) it's also obvious that they were one, like in that early period. but then they became rock-n-roll, pop, funk, soul and everything in between. all in all, legends. a true fan of music knows that you can't put Queen in a box

This was from their third album. They went through a period where they all wore black and white. They were still living in small flats and riding the bus. Meanwhile, their manager, Norman Sheffield, was wearing expensive suits and had a new luxury car. That’s when they changed management to John Reid. Freddie was pissed, and wrote “Death on Two Legs”. Sheffield sued & settled out of court. If he hadn’t sued, it’s probable that nobody would have known that the song was about him. It’s the ultimate diss track. Highly recommend the lyric video! Queen were in recording studio and David Bowie walks in. They start talking about doing something together. John Deacon (bassist) starts playing a really cool riff. They all go out for pizza and a few beers. When they got back Deacon forgot the riff byt Roger Taylor (drummer) remembered it. They recorded Under Pressure. They never performed it together in concert but Bowie sang it with Annie Lennox at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert. This is live at Wembley kzbin.info/www/bejne/hYfdp6KGhZuAa5I

Queen is outstanding..., a critic said once: no matter if it’s about metal, progressive rock, pop, glam rock, hard rock, rhythm 'n blues, funk and disco, country, gospel and soul, and even music-hall and ragtime....., or any music styles... Queen could create and sing anything, in a Queen’s style. They created their own style, You can listen some harmonies... and you know it’s Queen singing ... with the incomparable Freddie’s voice..!!! And the studio version of any song, it’s really outstanding, if you hear it with earphones.., you can listen and enjoy all the beautiful details in the recording tape... and in a concert... Queen was AMAZING... full of energy.. full of rock... full of entertainment!!! With all respect... I don’t know other band which can do something like that.

Older Queen! In the final analysis, no one could remember who wrote it-so it is credited to all of them. It was on their 3rd album-Sheer Heart Attack. If you liked this one on the album, try Brian’s Stormtrooper in Stilettos, and tell me what it means!

Elizabeth Hewins I thought Brian said it was Freddie who originally presented the song. He was playing it slower and Brian came up with the tempo we now know. I believe Freddie had it laying around for awhile. Not so sure about the lyrics though. But maybe I’m misremembering some of that.

Freddie originally wrote the song for his previous band around 1969, but the song had more of a blues riff in the beginning, they speeded it up.

Queen thought they had “really made it” when they played The Rainbow. Their look was definitely “cool” back then as someone has already commented. This song, “Stone Cold Crazy” was actually played in the 60s by “Wreckage”, the band Freddie was with before Queen. This song (Sept. ‘74) preceded Killer Queen (Oct. ‘74) by just about a month, and Killer Queen was their first giant hit which charted high. This concert is in Nov. ‘74 so they were well on their way by the end of ‘74. Love watching you enjoy all this Queen! 👑 Please -> MORE! There’s so much more Queen!!!! And... The Doors, The Who, Neil Young and Eric Clapton!!!

Freddie wrote it I believe. Please react to Now I’m Here live at Wembley 1986 and the legendary 1985 Live Aid!!! Love you guys and enjoy watching you react to this mega talented group. You know they had a long list of firsts to their credit. 1. All 4 college educated. Brian has his PhD - his thesis was Interplanetary dust!! and John has a Masters in Engineering. Rogers degree was in Biology. Freddie graduated with a Graphic arts degree. He did the Queen logo and was an amazing artist and also designed some clothes. 2. Only band with all members having written a hit record. 3. First in making a “Short Film” ( Bohemian Rhapsody video) which contributed to MTV and VH1 starting their TV shows after seeing the impact that Queens video had. 4. First group to play live in stadiums. The other bands thought they were crazy to plan their 1986 Magic Tour all in huge stadium venues. Needless to say, they all sold out. 5. First group to ever play live behind the Iron Curtain(Budapest 1986), 6. First group to set a world record for attendance at a concert. Rock in Rio in Brazil had 250,000 paying fans attending 7. Freddie was the first rock singer to ever do a collaboration with an Opera Singer. It had never been done. I might have missed a few more which I’ll probably remember later- lol Their Live Aid performance is still listed as the best live Rock and Roll performance to date. They smoked every other group. Each group had a 17 minute slot to wow the crowd of 72,000 at Wembley and the 90,000 in Philadelphia along with the 1.4 million watching world wide during this important event to raise money for the starving people in Ethiopia.

Regarding the movie. It was full of half truths and some downright lies. Some of them are explained in these 2 short videos. One that isn’t mentioned is that Freddie never fired John Reid from the back of a limousine. Reid left because his other client, Elton John, was feeling neglected. This video is from WatchMojo:kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJDOeYOhZap3bKs. This one is from Grunge:kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoKVfqmPerCnbac Please watch them. The movie was not a true documentary.
