It was because of the swerve. While we can obviously tell it was just a swerve, cops have to report as much info as possible to dispatch so they have a clear picture of the stop in the case that something happens. (at least supposed to). Its a good idea if you make alot of stops because details matter and you might not be able to remember everything properly. Just a thought I had.

No knock warrants spook people into thinking they are being attacked by home invaders. Cops don't even have to dress as cops while doing a No Knock raid so how the hell was her boyfriend supposed to know if they were cops if they don't have to appear as cops and/or announce themselves as cops? The police should have to announce who they are before busting down the door in a drug bust. While I don't think the cops killed Breonna Taylor because of her race or whatever but No Knock warrants should be illegal in the context of a drug bust. I would rather "Jimmy" the drug dealer get away than the cops bust the wrong house and a law abiding american citizen uses their second amendment rights to protect themselves against who they think is home invader. I don't really think that is very defensible and I think I made a reasonable argument but feel free to disagree.

Drugs shouldn't even be illegal to begin with seeing that the war on drugs has been a verifiable failure. You're treating a person who is a non violent offender as if they were armed to the teeth. A No knock Warrant may be necessary in a high risk situation like a kidnapping. However, to do all this over drugs seems obsessive. She wasn't even suspected of being some type of kingpin. She wasn't even the right person. The police didn't even announce who they were in the middle of the night. Who gives a shit if someone decides to flush some drugs. It's not worth the unnecessary risk of someone else's life over something so petty. Also the No Knock warrant didn't stop the officer from getting shot because he was mistaken as an armed home invader.

hate to be this guy but everything was queen's fault... she had no reason to be going through slim's phone at all, thats just disrespectful and a big red flag. she knew she wasn't at all interested in slim anyway and had no reason to have the phone at all. all she had to do was tell him where to turn next, not start browsing through his phone. then, she was hostile during the traffic stop and ultimately by her getting out of the car/reaching for her phone, one could argue she was the one that provoked both shootings (first her being shot by the cop and then the cop being fatally shot by slim in retaliation). you would think an 'attorney' would know better than to act on emotion at a crucial time like this one. smh

Tell me what’s routine about that? Are they going to have to explain to an angry citizen why they got pulled over? Did they pull over a felon currently on the run? Did the person they pulled over currently have a gun on their lap and are ready to shoot the cop as soon as he/she walks up? Or will it go in a normal way where the cop explains why they stopped the driver, they get ID, registration, insurance, and then the cop either writes them a ticket or let’s them go. You need to rethink your entire thought process of what a “routine” traffic stop is because it doesn’t exist. No real cop in the world will tell you that there’s a routine traffic stop.
