WOW! Are we in the 80`s video game? Yes I caught John Deacon’s name being mentioned, but actually if you listen to it again, you will hear all the names of the artists being held. Great song, guaranteed to put a SMILE on your face. A song that is a video game at the same time. Enjoy.

Lyrics
I'm the invisible man
I'm the invisible man
Incredible how you can
See right through me
When you hear a sound
That you just can't place
Feel somethin' move
That you just can't trace
When something sits
On the end of your bed
Don't turn around
When you hear me tread
I'm the invisible man
I'm the invisible man
Incredible how you can
See right through me
I'm the invisible man
I'm the invisible man
It's criminal how I can
See right through you
I'm in your room
And I'm in your bed
And I'm in your life
And I'm in your head
Like the CIA
Or the FBI
You'll never get close
Never take me alive
I'm the invisible man
I'm the invisible man
Incredible how you can
See right through me
I'm the invisible man
I'm the invisible man
It's criminal how I can
See right through you
Hah, hah, hah, hello
Hah, hah, hah, okay
Hah, hah, hah, hello hello hello hello
Never had a real good friend, not a boy or a girl
No one knows what I've been through, let my flag unfurl
So make my mark from the edge of the world
From the edge of the world
From the edge of the world
Now I'm on your track
And I'm in your mind
And I'm on your back
But don't look behind
I'm your meanest thought
I'm your darkest fear
Put I'll never get caught
You can't shake me, shake me dear
I'm the invisible man
I'm the invisible man
Incredible how you can
See right through me (watch me)
I'm the invisible man
I'm the invisible man
It's criminal how I can
See right through you
Look at me, look at me
Shake me, shake me, shake me dear

I have a question for you HAP. There are still a lot of Queen songs to hear...but are you open to hearing some other classic rock bands (or other genres) later on? I know of some great classic rock songs that you’ve probably not heard. I know a lot of viewers enjoy bringing an incredible song to a reactor (a song you probably haven’t heard); and seeing how you like it. Hopefully that makes sense ⭐️💜⭐️

What most people also miss about Queen. Is just how interchangeable their voices are on their album work. Roger wrote this song. If you listen carefully. Throughout the song Roger sings the tag line ( I'm the invisible man ) The same is true for Brian, concerning the opening of The Prophet Song. ( ooh ooh people of the earth ) That whole first section, until Fred starts telling the story. Is Brian. Which then leads into their layered harmonies. All the albums are like that. People expect to hear Fred. So, that's all they do hear.
@cristiona22

Too true, then they are surprised to find that Roger and Brian are great singers in their own right. Their vocals are such an important part of the Queen sound. The harmonies are always so great with three fantastic singers contributing.

Yes I agree, that is what a NON QUEEN fan would think. In the reaction I did to "I`m in love with my car" and "in the lap of gods" we get to hear Rogers vocals. I am yet to explore John`s but I heard Brian`s vocals were on the song I WANT IT ALL. Yes that why its quite catchy. lol the harmonies as you said, are brilliant. I DID NOT KNOW they run into each other, DARN, I would have done that back to back. lol (Copyrighted HAP3SPEAKZ) ©️

Queen were very much both of their time and ahead of their time. They definitely pioneered sounds and techniques and incorporated current trends. They always had their fingers on the pulse of the industry. All 4 had very different preferences in style and influence, but somehow they were always able to turn those differences in to a cohesive, unique sound. Geniuses!! As always, WONDERFUL reaction!! When you listen again, you’ll hear Roger shout out Freddie’s name, and later Freddie calls out John, then Brian and then Roger. I noticed that you didn’t hear him call out Brian & Roger this time around😊. Also, George Michael was a friend of Freddie’s and he sang the heck out of Someone To Love in the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert after Freddie’s death❤️

Fun fact: The song was released in August 1989 and shortly before Roger Taylor celebrated his 40th birthday. Freddie turned up with those shades he wears in the video and scared the other guests all evening. That was Freddie, already living on borrowed time but still the prankster and always up for any shenanigans right until the end. Great reaction to the video, that was fun!

Roger called out Freddie Mercury at the beginning. Then Freddie says John Deacon, the only one you picked up on. Brian May, Brian May (who wouldn’t want multiple Brian Mays in their bedroom?).....then Roger saying “Look at me, look at me” and dropping his drumsticks. Then Freddie introduces RRRRROGER Taylor! I love this video. Deacy’s bass drives a lot of their songs. You haven’t done Under Pressure live at Wembley yet, it’s one of his most iconic riffs! And I love his bass in Action This Day, but again I prefer the live version over the studio one. Live at The Bowl 1982. And I’m still hoping for Crazy Little Thing live in Japan. You’ll love it

I Want It All and The Invisible Man is from the same album called The Miracle from 1989 (the second to last record with Freddie). I recommend also the song Breakthru form that album (NOT the video clip because I am very curious what image you´ll have in your head when you listen to it). Was It All Worth It is probably the best song from that record and is a perfect transition into the last chapter of Queens history with Freddie but dont rush yourself into that.

Nice reaction! This song is very retro, and you are right the baseline is basically the main thing that stands out here. Personally I think this song is slightly cheesy, which probably fits the era, but it is something I personally find with some of Roger's songs. But this retro sound is actually somewhat popular these days again, with artist such as Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga or Sia. You have a good memory to remember that I Want It All and this song is from the same album, this is from 1989. This was actually quite a strange time in music, no one really knew where the 90's was heading. But Queen did use the sounds or trends around them, and they used it in their own style, again that is a good observation. Queen had good instincts about upcoming trends. You will understand it even better if you listen to some material from Hot Space, especially Back Chat, that was actually released before Michael Jackson released Thriller. They created the first Thrash Metal song 10 years before Metallica became popular. Actually, I Want It All, fits perfectly into that equation. As I said the period between 1988 - 1991 was very strange musically. People were bored of Disco and New Wave, people were also starting to become jaded about Hair Metal, Rap was starting to make an appearance. No one really knew or understood what was coming next. But bands such as Guns & Roses and Metallica were becoming more popular. There was a harder edge appearing in rock music, and people were starting to regard some of the Hair Metal bands such as Motley Crew, Wasp and Poison as somewhat of a joke. You can see how Queen was picking up on this from around 1986, the A Kind Of Magic album they started to gain a heavier sound with songs such as, Princes Of The Universe and Gimme The Prize. You you can see how something like I Want it All, from 1989, can fit in better with Guns & Roses, Judas Priest and even Metallica. There are other heavier songs on the Miracle album as well, such as Was It All Worth, this song really goes back to their harder prog rock style. Their 1991 album Innuendo was an even harder rock album, the album really goes back to their experimental prog rock style of the 70's, but with an updated feeling. Queen never completely changed, but they did listen to the music around them. The Innuendo album and song shot straight to number upon it's release. They were actually on exactly the right track again for the 90's. In 1991 Nirvana released Nevermind, and grunge took over the world. Of course Queen were not doing grunge, but they moved their sound into a harder, edgier and more serious sound, that would have worked for the grunge era. Other prog rock bands such Radiohead also became popular during this time. This is one of those regrets that Queen fans don't know how they would handled the 90's, because they were on exactly the right track for the 90's. Other classic rock groups such as Aerosmith for example, regained popularity during the 90's. Queen never lost popularity like Aerosmith, but they could likely have done very well in that era as well. Queen is part of only two artists in history who have manged to remain in the top 10 popularity, through sales, in two different eras. They were the 4th best selling artist of the 70's and the 5th best selling artist of the 80's. The only other artist who remained as popular for two decades is Elvis in the 50's and 60's. chartmasters.org/2020/01/queen-albums-and-songs-sales/

Not my favourite song, but it's okay. You should react to Cool Cat or Mustapha, both songs are completely different from what you've already heard. I'm sure you'll be surprised. I know this was 2 years ago but I hope you'll see this comment. Brian May thought the lasers shooting out of his guitar were really cool and always wanted to do something like that onstage. He finally realized it on tour last summer 2022. Not lasers, but he shot a firecracker out the end of his guitar. Not the Red Special, of course. Wouldn't want to take any chances!

Once again, great honest reaction! From this same album, which at the time was thought to be probably the last while Freddie was still alive, is a song which was intended to be his "swan song", summing up his career: Was it All Worth It. I'd like to hear your reaction to that.

One of my biggest regrets when listening to Queen is that I’m deaf in one ear (due to nerve damage) so I can never get that stereo effect. Just glad it’s not both!😊 Anyway, not one of their heavier ones but very of the time. As it says in one song “our music changes through the years” - was it Radio GaGa?
@HAP3SPEAKZ
@HAP3SPEAKZ 4 жыл бұрын
"How music changes through the years" that is a line from Radio Ga Ga. Think of the sound as if it were echoing in that one ear then reentering it. That kind of effect is what I am referring to.👑 (Copyrighted HAP3SPEAKZ) ©️

My heartfelt thought is Freddie left this 'message' song for the kids in his life that he loved and felt their love for him. It's also for his band brothers, calling out their names, letting them , his best friends, always know he's there even when NOT --- only invisible. Yep, for sure, it's the brilliant Freddie Mercury sharing his thoughts for all the good it might do in the days and years to come. Quite lovely.

Hap, do Rammstein “Du hast” they have a huge fanbase! Disturbed “The sound of silence” is also very popular! I know you have to prioritise from patreon from now on but it was just a suggestion. I will join patreon to give you my support but I won’t be requesting songs since it breaks my heart seeing you have to work so hard.
