The best Queen song, EVER! I was 16 when Day At The Races / Tie Your Mother Down was released. I have never tired of listening to the song. I saw Queen in concert in 1978 and they rocked the Omni in Atlanta, GA. I have never seen a band before, or since that sounded more like "themselves" in concert. Brian May = Guitar Perfection.

I saw Queen 3 times before the passing of Freddie. I spent the first hour of the first show in total dumbstruck awe with mouth agape. Freddie was the greatest showman on earth, complete with the most incredible voice I’ve ever heard. RIP Freddie. We miss ya man.

I FREAKING LOVE THIS SONG -- Queen's most badass hit! (The the guitar-riff has a bit of a Southern Boogie feel to it)

Completely agree. Queen was the forerunner to many bands who performed those styles. Innovative, underrated band.

This is such a great song!!! What I can't understand is that this was shot 35 years ago, and Brian May still looks exactly the same as the did then. And he's still got the same energy. I'm telling you, that man will live until he's 150.

Brian made his guitar, he composed the guitar riff for '39 and Brighton Rock. And Freddie wrote the song Don't stop me now, he was the one singing and playing the piano. John Deacon wrote songs like Another one bites the dust, and the bassriff rocked! Just like in Crazy little thing. And believe it or not, but it was on their debut album Roger played the drums in Great King Rat!

excellent song, I remember NME giving this a bad review back when it was released as a single in early 1977. The reviewer basically said that as Queen weren't a heavy rock group why should they be taken seriously when they did a heavy rock song. It's one of their best!
