I absolutely love Queen, and they are indisputably one of the greatest rock bands in history. That being said, this song has one of the most jarring tonal shifts I’ve ever heard. I absolutely adore the bad ass beginning of this song. It has an epic dark fantasy feel and then suddenly it shifts to an upbeat almost whimsical sound. The movie Highlander is anything but whimsical.
