As a kid I started loving Queen so much my Dad was sick of it. He got two concert tickets and was gonna send my mom along. Mom pretends to be sick so dad takes me. 30 minutes into the drive I realize he went wrong direction on purpose. We make it to concert, awesome performance, Freddy showing even the ones sitting in the sides love by climbing up and greeting... my Dad entered concert dispising Queen but walked out loving them. Today is the 7th year anniversary of my Dad's passing! Thank you for the memory and for being the coolest Dad ever!

This thing, called love It cries, in a cradle all night, It swings, it jives It shakes all over like a jelly fish, I like it, crazy little thing called love. There goes my baby, she knows how to rock n' roll She drives me crazy, She gives me hot and cold fever Then she leaves me in a cool cool sweat. I gotta be cool, relax, get hip Get on my track's, take a back seat ,hitch hike, and take a long ride on my motor bike Until I'm ready, crazy little thing called love. Yeah, I gotta be cool, relax, get hip. Get on my track's, take a back seat, hitch hike, and take a long ride on my motor bike Until I'm ready, (ready Freedie), crazy little thing called love. @TomRipley73506 жыл бұрын
Kennedy Greer I'll check that book out. I have some credits on Audible. I think Queen's songs will still be relevant long after today's music has been forgotten. Their songs are 28 to 40 years old and sound as fresh as if they were recorded yesterday. The movie is going to embed them more into today's culture. What a legacy this band will leave.
@ElissaStark5146 жыл бұрын
Tom Ripley Indeed. People always use the word “timeless,” and I don’t always agree, but with Queen, it’s true. I really hope you do check out that book. I wish everyone would, before seeing the movie. That’s how I learned about Brian and Roger’s band Smile. I understand so many of the small details in the trailer because of it. Def worth a listen :)

“Crazy Little Thing called Love” was written in 10 minutes in the bath as a tribute to Elvis Presley, by Freddie Mercury 👑. “It’s Freddie’s tribute to Elvis in a way,” said guitarist Brian May. “Freddie was very fond of Elvis.”. When Freddie was at boarding school near Bombay in the 50s, he first heard and became a lifelong fan of the singer. “When I was little I was in the choir and I just liked to sing. I would copy Elvis Presley songs."

My sister and her friend would say to each other before they were about to leave: "Ready, Freddie?" "Ready, Roger." Then when I would hang out with them, it was sometimes: "Ready, Freddie?" "Ready, Brian." Sadly, we never had a fourth person to be John Deacon.

November 24th 2020. R.I.P. Freddie Mercury. I never forget the first moment I heard this song on the radio in 1979 in Japan. It was even before the single release, even through a telephone from London on the radio program called the UK top 20. Someone in London played it and let us hear it through the telephone. The sound through the telephone didn't pick up the base guitar or drum kicks. Then a week later, they got the single and played it on the radio, then I was blown away! What a masterpiece!
