Kean to see the wiring series Paul as I'm at that stage now and completely new to electronics etc. Any updates when you may be uploading 👍

Hi Rob, I have so many topics to do videos for, but this is the busiest time of year for my job and I just can't get to it. YuYong has a Facebook group for the QueenAnt and I am very active there, plus there are others that would be more than happy to help you. See you there!

Are the sensors the 4 mm detection distance ?

Yes I believe so, but they don't come with the specs so can't be sure

You got this thing running yet?

Hi - Good question, yes it is working as of yesterday! Unfortunately I work a job that goes nuts in the good weather months, and I have almost zero time to myself. If you have a QueenAnt and need any help you can join the Facebook group facebook.com/groups/1205778603256181 When time allows I will continue making videos and have the following topics in mind. 1. Building the control box 2. Spoil board tramming 3. Post Processor tuning for the DDCS V4.1 controller 4. How to solder like an expert 5. How to make off a shielded cable. 6. How to trouble shoot a CNC control system 7. How to set up soft limits 8. Build a cheap & very effective dust shoe for the spindle

Enjoy following with you - I just ordered mine last week. Which control option did you go with?
@pauljackson108 Жыл бұрын
Hi Matt, I went with the DDCS V4.1 controller by Digital Dreams Thank you for your comment

I'll be ordering a 1500x3000 soon. They will custom make that.

Nice job on the videos Paul! The unit looks a little front-end heavy. What is the distance from the X-Axis C-Channel to the centerline of the spindle? Will it overreach the front frame crossbar if you wanted to cut dovetail joints for drawers?
@pauljackson108 Жыл бұрын
Hi Rex, it is indeed front heavy and YuYong have taken measures with a new design to stiffen up the x axis to prevent twist . I can measure for you, but that is the bottom line. Fortunately, while I wouldn't say that there is zero twist, I don't think it's an issue for woodworking at all. It over reaches at the front by about two inches. Plenty of room for dovetails.
@rexgrant3297 Жыл бұрын
Hi Paul, Thanks for the reply. No need for any measurements. I was just curious if it could handle dovetails with a vertical board clamped to the front and the 2" overhang is good enough for my needs. Would locating the rear X-Axis linear bearing to the bottom of the Axis arm help even more? Just a thought. Nice job on the metal framework.@@pauljackson108

It really depends if you're going to do a lot of metal milling. And even then I'm not sure if there is actually a problem or just a perceived problem. Some people are buying a different extrusion for the x axis. It has much thicker internal walls and stiffens the whole thing up. But for woodworking, the stock machine is very accurate and would be fine for anything you would want to do.

Would you please show the GRBL settings for $100, $101, & $102

Hi - sorry, unfortunately the controller I use is a DDCS V4.1 standalone controller and it doesn't use GRBL so I have no idea??

That's great information. I just received mine. I went with the preassembled control box for the DDCS v4.1.
@pauljackson108 Жыл бұрын
I think the pre assembled control box is a smart way to go. The cost to make your own is nearly as much and it saves you so much time. It's a good machine - I'm sure you will be happy with it.

@@pauljackson108 Hi Paul. Can I ask how you powered your CNC? The pre assembled control box has one power port to power the 220kw spindle, 4 servo's and the electronics. Did you build your box the same way and did you take any precautions regarding power?
@pauljackson108 Жыл бұрын
@@CycleverseGames Hi Chris, I built my own control box and have a 120v lead going to a wall socket for the electronics. In addition I am going to run a 220v two phase supply from my panel directly to the VFD which will be mounted on the wall next to the CNC. I wanted to keep the spindle power away from the other electronics to mitigate against interference. The control box will be my next video. I trust that YuYong have done their homework and that their solution will work just fine for you.
