@QueenBee1755 Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment. It should work on soutache depending on how wide it is. A wide open toe foot or satin foot may also work well but may need a little more gentleness since the foot may not have a groove on the underside to help guide it.

Hey you probably already figured it out judging by the video's data: These presser feet comes with an extra universal "adapter" connection that makes it stable =))) Thanks for the vid !!
@QueenBee17554 жыл бұрын
You are correct, the set does come with a 'holder' as a convenience for machines that do not have a snap-in holder already. Since my machine already had one, I have not tried it. So you may be correct about it fitting the feet better. But I do know the needle position of different machines can be slightly different (pic in community posts) so each should be checked for alignment before sewing. Thank you for watching and commenting!

Thank you for the video :) I have several different sewing machines (Brother, Janome, Singer), do i have to buy seapare feet for each of them? that's a lot of money... Also I see generic presser feet on Amazon all the time, are they bad if they're not branded?
@QueenBee17553 ай бұрын
@get2craft I also have several different machines. These feet fit my Singer and Brother and some fit the Janome. However, some do NOT fit my Janome (please see the image I posted in the community tab to see what they do). These are, in my opinion, generic universal feet I bought from Amazon. I have been using these feet since 2018 without any issues; not sure if they are made they same way now. In the description area of this video ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/paHHop6VfteFqrM ) I list several tools (including these feet) that I use. The links are old so I'm not sure if everything listed is still available, but check that out.

What thread do you use on , please, is it a transparent one which is very fine. .? And what needle would you use to sew a rather thick transparent plastic
@QueenBee17554 жыл бұрын
You can use either. I prefer a regular color match thread when possible (mainly, needle and bobbin will be 2 different colors), but can use both. Reason is, even with a netting of the clear thread, it still has a tenancy to tangle more, esp. when sewing very fast. Your needle should be able to easily accept the size thread you are using so it passes freely through the needle eye. However, this needs to be balanced with the fabric you are using. Ex. You wouldn't want a very large needle going thru a delicate fabric. I hope that helped.

Would this work with older sewing machine models ?
@QueenBee17553 жыл бұрын
The set I bought came with a snap attachment for machine that do not have that already. The feet are 'universal' but I can't say if they would fit or not. There are also smaller sets, or were at the time I bought this one, if you don't want to spend money on a large set trying it out. I'm not sure if the snap adaptor would be in the smaller sets so be sure to read a list of what comes in it first.

@QueenBee17554 жыл бұрын
I agree that is one way, and thank you for the comment. Part of the reason mine puckers and skips stitches from time to time is because of all the hours of wear I have on it without any maintenance. I think this machine has about 10,000 run hours on it.

For stitch length and width length, is 2.0....that mm?

That is a good question because it depends on the machine. Mine (and I believe most newer machines) 2.0 means 2mm. However, some older machines, the number may mean how many stitches per inch.
