Regarding Chloe , yes having a good song is a part of stardom but people underestimate what a good reputation / image adds to the “whole package” . Because of her pst actions , people already see Chloe as a try hard and corny thus refusing to give her new music a chance . Yeah being talented and having a good song is one thing but how you present yourself to the world is a big part of “being a star” . The public is finicky and once you have a set image , they will judge you based on that. Her transition from “cute church girl “ to s3x kitten was way too abrupt and not a “smooth” transition . She alienated her fanbase by going full s3x pot and collating with abusers. That’s why labels make artists chose a path and stay on it till they’re able to build a consistent fanbase , she deviated from her image way too quickly and is now .. “finding out” . Personally I think it’s unfair that you can’t explore the different parts of you as an artist so soon but being a musician .. you have to somewhat cater to the fans and their perception of you. It’s a part of the job. 🤷🏽♀️ and like I said she did “way too much way TOO SOON” , now she’s attempting to “go back” but she can’t .. reputation is EVERYTHING
@kuntakinte1126 ай бұрын
BINGO! You nailed it. I personally preferred that “cute girl” aura she had and still has. It made her stand out in a beautiful and unique way. Based on my opinion, she would have gone further if she maintained that aesthetic for a while. Unfortunately for her and her sister (baby out of wedlock and “DDG’s reputation ”) their wholesome image has taken a downward trajectory.

I agree with this comment but also feel like she could dial it back so we can focus on the music. I love her personality and music but sometimes the s*x appeal doesn’t even fit the song. She’s beautiful and I think her fans just want her to throw on some clothes and sang! I still support her to point where I’m subscribed and listen to all her music at midnight when it drops. But I would like her to show diversity in her looks cause it’s distracting from her talent because she is VERY TALENTED!

Like I feel like she could do better in regards to her music especially seeing how she made music with her sister. It's obvious that Chloe is still trying to find her footing by herself and see what type of music works for her and also her audience. I don't think people are hating on Chloe just to hate on her because like you mentioned in the video Chloe has stopped with the oversexualized antics I just don't think the music she makes connects with audiences and I'm not exactly sure why. Even people I know who are in my close circle all like Chloe and want her to succeed but were just not connecting with the music. Some of Chloe's songs that I do like are: In Pieces, For the Night, Cheatback, Feel Me Cry, How Does it Feel, I Don't Mind and Worried. Not even meaning to compare Halle and Chloe I tend to like Halle's singles more than Chloe's and I notice that the audience tends to receive Halle's music better than Chloe's even though Chloe has been making solo music for longer. I really feel like Chloe leading with her sexuality in the beginning really did a disservice to her career.

Of course we can’t say “that” (an example of healthy love) with Beyoncé and Jay z. Jay met Beyoncé at 16 when he was Approaching/ in his 30’s and groomed her. Have y’all seen the way Beyoncé talks about Jay , saying “he taught me how to be a woman” or “I raised that man, I raised his kids” HUH 💀 that is NOT the way you should be talking about your partner. Jay clearly doesn’t see Beyoncé as an equal partner hence why he courted her as a teenager and continues to cheat on her till this day. He sees her as an opportunity to project this black love facade , stronger together image. Y’all ain’t gone convince me that somebody that has a history with sleeping with teenagers (cough cough foxy brown at 15?!?! Etc etc) knows how to love a woman. 🤦🏽♀️ But anyways , his day will come . God willing !!

I agree. And because Beyoncé was taken out the market at an early age, she didn’t have much opportunities to date and be courted by other men. To find someone who actually compliments her and is right for her. Jay z isn’t even attractive and gives handler vibes.

Chioma, if you want more subscribers then you need to self reflection about the reason you've lost subscribers. You're allowed to have your opinions but people are also allowed to react. From my persoective, some of your comments are misogynistic. When you were talking about how women criticize others for asking for their man's opinion, making their lunch, etc. you said that a lot of them don't have a man. Not having a man is not negative. There's nothing wrong with being single, especially if the alternative is being with someone who is not prioritizing you the way you are prioritizing them. Using someone not having a man as an insult is assuming having any man at all, even if he treats you poorly, is better than being single. When you said women just want someone to take care of them and make them a stay at home wife, it was obtuse. You're ignoring statistics that show women do overwhelmingly more of the labor at home, including the mental labor. Even when partners split bills, women typically clean more, cook more, and keep track of both partners' social engagements. People are tired. Women deserve equal partners. I think a lot of your points come from the manosphere. Their main audience is men of all races. Your main audience is black women so you can't get away with being dismissive toward POC and women. Your vids are definitely entertaining. Hopefully you continue to grow as an artist and youtuber.
@QueenChioma6 ай бұрын
I lose subscribers but always gain subscribers too. KZbin shows me how many people unsubscribe and subscribe for each video. I gained 30 subscribers from this video. And it’s been up for about 12 hours. Also, I never said not having a man is negative. I was single for 3/4 years before my newest relationship and I gained a lot of self respect and happiness once I was healed and loving myself. I have ALWAYS to women to choose themselves over a man that is toxic, abusive, and disrespectful. Also, I wasn’t implying that women who criticize women who pack a lunch for their man don’t have a man. I did say that some women can’t keep a man because they are too deep in their masculine energy, which has nothing to do with packing a lunch. Like come on lol I think it has a lot to do with not allowing someone to be your partner, and equally contribute to you. And I really emphasize the word healthy, because I’m only speaking about healthy relationships. I think it’s silly to assume that I would ever promote having a man who is useless or just not a good man, just so that you have a man. I would never and have never. I actually don’t think I have manosphee views. I just address women because this is a woman’s channel. I could make a whole video, dragging men for their lack of contribution to women’s lives, and many of their tendencies that place women in a deep, masculine role, or explain why many women are single. I even talked about men who have negative views on Russell Wilson, who, in my opinion, is an example of a man who promotes positive values, the correct structure, what a woman deserves in a husband and a father, and overall healthy relationship. Lastly, I’ve never insulted anyone that doesn’t have a man. Because again, I didn’t have one for so long, and all of my subscribers knew that. And I explained why, my bad decisions, the lack of respect I had for myself, and also, taking on too much of a masculine role with men who wouldn’t spit on me if I was on fire. In my masculine role, I mean going over and beyond to cater to a man who did not also cater back to me. There was no partnership in a lot of my past relationships, just me overcompensating for my role and his. People are definitely free to react to my opinions, however, a lot of times people are reacting to things I never said, or implied.
@suncrestt48396 ай бұрын
telling it like it is without any sugar on top isn’t misogyny or dismissal. just bc it’s not a traditional viewpoint for a woman to have doesn’t mean it automatically comes from misogyny or envy. having a differing opinion ≠ hate. Chioma holds women accountable to a certain standard unlike most other female creators who will just heap praise onto women for just being women regardless of their character or behavior. of course it doesn’t apply to every woman but if we’re being so fr here, a lotttt of women are like the ones that chioma described in the video. if the shoe doesn’t fit, don’t wear it.
@kadinelindsayart6 ай бұрын
The first opinion, I definitely think that this is informed by your very traditional and mysoginistic culture. I think people should be able to choose the reality they want And for ALOT of women, dating men has been their downfall and source of anguish . Because the way men are cultured in our society , is to take and receive. Me personally as a person that is attracted to both men and women, since I’ve decided to date women mainly, my quality of life has improved in ways I couldn’t dream off. Girls if you don’t want a man, you don’t need one. And if you have a man, and your life is shity…it’s probably that man.

Chlöe is nerdy but she's also sexy. Her art allows her to express the sexy side of herself. I hope she never changes unless she wants to. Anybody being hateful to her for how she chooses to express herself just needs to get their disgusting heads examined.
