The paper curls and behaves better because bending the paper as you did breaks the bonds of the paper. It gives the flexibility to wrap around something and not leave the large ridges you sometimes get when wrapping paper and it has less tendency to rip.

You just solved a dilemma I had, I was watching another mini channel whose name escapes me (senile here!) and she was showing us how to make stoneware crocks and bottles. I get the body of the things but can't get the handles to look right in 1:18 th scale, I think the yarn is the answer. I don't know how I didn't think of it because I just recently told Little Mouses dollhouse that twine or yarn would be perfect for making stems for holly, so it wasn't as if this video (this video of yours) hadnt educated me first time around, but, like I say, senile!

@queencityminis I have been using it on my card and greyboard creations big and small for quite a few years. I have created fridge magnets from very layered dies ie the santarro gorjus girls that now resemble plastic not card. I found the best way with card is to seal it with anything first ie another basic mod podge glue/sealer or an affect to add depth although it isn't fully visible eg matt creates a layer but the hard coat is glossy let it dry for at least 24 hours then do several thin coats of the hard but here is the key let it cure for the 28days before doing again for a tougher result and keep repeating it until your happy. Just like using resin, which this contains but I'd far easier. I found it creates a harder coat by allowing curring between several layers instead of just applying at oncex

Sometimes when our bodies fail us but our minds don’t having the correct tools can make all the difference, I could suggest some if you would like to persevere at this very rewarding hobby. Ps we all hate our own work and constantly improve, I feel confident that you are doing far better than you think after all just because you watch a video of someone driving or building a house does not mean you can immediately go out and achieve that same level of success and experience. Please realise the imperfections are what makes it unique, handmade and more importantly yours, no one knew your intentions they only see the beauty in the results and hardly ever the ‘errors’ if you don’t point them out x

Cute cups. I have 2 suggestions. First, when you clip something, try holding it in a ziploc bag so the scrap end doesn’t go flying. Second, when I want to paint with Testors I just use the end of a toothpick to spread it. Because of the texture of the paint it flows easily off the tip of the toothpick and dries smooth. When I’m done I just toss the toothpick. Since I’ve only done this with metallic paints I’m not positive it will work as well with regular enamel but you can try it.

Thanks for the tips! I switched from using my own brushed to the cheap plastic bristle brush that came in the kit and it works well. I'll try the toothpick method for smaller items. As for cutting things and letting them fly, I'll straighten up my act going forward ☺️

Thank you! It was a nod to Spider-Man since Peter Parker is from NYC. I made these mugs to use in my Spider-Man apartment diorama.
