Larries have definitely been quite toxic at times and given way to affect the boys' lives directly, but the fact is that antis only see these toxic fans and never the quiet ones who don't indulge in that kind of behaviour because... well they're not toxic and don't go on public platforms and discuss they're ships, unlike some others and it not only makes larries in general look bad, it also makes antis think they have the right to harass any larrie for this. Obviously, yk it doesn't excuse the toxic fans' behaviour but larry as a ship is actually something that brings so many people joy and they go about their shipping in a non-toxic way and I feel like trying to bring down larries and the ship in general is just an awful thing to do, instead I think we should educate the more toxic fans and so that everything can be good and peaceful yk

great, now i feel bad bc for me larry is just about 2 guys being together and looking cute, just discover larry like a mother ago, I just watched a couple of vids and the fandom completely sucked me in and now I cant get out, u know what the saddest part of entering a fandom is? is to find out that the prime was about 8 years ago and now your too late bc the fandom is almost dead, but respects to the larries, didn't know that larry mean so much for so many ppl

I feel there's a lot of people coming to the fandom now wich is pretty crazy if you think about it because 1D is "dead" for 6 years now but there's still people becaming Larries and Directioners, I feel like Tumblr has an important role in this fandom that is bring real information to this people. The majority of tumblrs user are people that are a part of the fandom for a very long time and know stuff that is true or false I get a little sad that it's not that much appreciated anymore. Sorry for my bad english not my first language.

The larry tag is pretty dead for sure. I've had different accs since 2012 but what I've noticed in recent years is that people don't post under the larry tag bc of hate. Most of my larry friends I have on tumblr I had to actively seek them and find through mutual friends as just an account that posts larry but under different tags. Things are super different now

kinda crazy that i joined tumblr in 2020 (coz of quarantine), it is full of supernatural fandom posts now, 1D fandom is pretty dead there, BTS, anime, MCU are thriving though

tbh I'm on Tumblr every day and no one uses this # anymore that's why you might think its dead there are huge accs that use their own # for their l&h posts. I always believed that this platform is mostly used by the og fans and there are people who are so chill with everything that happens and try to calm the newbies and give them examples of the past and how we managed to get through worst situations.. :P

I think there isn't much under the tag because tumblr larries try to keep to themselves (at least the once I associate with) and we don't feel like making it that easy for antis to find us 👀. there are enough hate anons going around as is. Well. At least that's how I feel. I am pretty active still and there are new people coming in all the time still but you do have to find your way into the community slowly by looking who people reblog from and stuff to find the active blogs, yeah. I love tumblr still. A lot 😊 Oh also tags are not used properly obviously. I post ot5 but I don't ever really tag anything with like "one direction" or their names... i'm just commenting in the tags basically. So the shitty search function works even less well lol
