It's unique what The Crown is doing, by replacing the full cast every two years to age the actors. You can add makeup and wigs, but not what experience does to a person. Even so, it would be interesting to see how Claire Foy and Matt Smith would have played these roles in seasons 3 & 4. I would have liked to have seen their progression. And how mean Olivia Coleman's Queen was to Charles in season 3, would Claire Foy have played her so cold blooded? The only character who felt the same to me was Princess Margaret.
@schmapples3 жыл бұрын
Olivia Coleman is an excellent actress but she herself admitted that she does no research or reference at all when it comes to acting out her roles. I feel like she was indeed cold-blooded in seasons 3 and 4. Still great! But a little too guarded maybe? Though I feel like if she had seen how Claire Foy acted Elizabeth then the portrayal and delivery would have been somewhat different. Really would have liked to see how Claire Foy and Matt Smith would have portrayed their characters respectively in the latter seasons though. I love them so much
@19AMorettaa3 жыл бұрын
I mean when you go through as much as she has, it is justified to portray the queen as someone who has become guarded over time.
