In this No One Knows guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this great song from Queens Of The Stone Age note-for-note.
The tuning is C Standard tuning. That means that you will need to tune every string on your guitar down two whole-steps to be able to play along with the original recording and this lesson video. Those notes are, starting from 6th string, C F Bb Eb G C.
I have to say, this is one of the funnest songs to play that I have taught in a long time. It is an incredible rhythm guitar workout and can be a challenge to even the more experienced players out there.
I will take you through each section of the song in the order that each appears on the original recording.
I will also demonstrate how to play Josh Homme's guitar solo note-for-note. The last lick in this solo will definitely tie your hands into knots! :)

The tuning is easy mate just a thick set of strings. 12 to 13 gauge. I think I'm using 13s any gauge with a wound G and you will be good.

@@mmmatthews9135 yea, at first I had a problem to keep the strings in the right tone, I had to retune them for a few times to accually start playing with the correct sound, but now I'm fine - I've learned everything, only struggling with the end lick of the solo haha Edit: got this one, whole song is mine

Early queens are nice as well, as I'm now in this tuning I took up Go With the Flow and I'm thinking about other ones from them. I learn mainly Muse stuff and recently also got into Arctic Monkeys' multi-guitar compositions - are you familiar with those?

FYI, the Digitech Drop pedal is great for this. Just learned it myself and the pedal means you don't have to muck about with your guitar. :-)

@@billydelacruz1500 The only issue with using the pedal is, it's got to be loud enough to hide the sound of the strings, otherwise you hear both, which is, unpleasant. I was surprised how well it faired dropped so much.

The have effects pedals now that drops the pitch of your guitar. They can drop every string down to C, and they sound descent. Even the cheap $50 dollar units do a great job. You lose a little on tone. It may make your tone slightly "boxy" ...but the trade off to simply learn the song, without having to have a guitar set up to "C - Standard" is worth the hit on your tone.

Plain impossible to tune to C standard with your guitar setup for E standard, no matter what gauge you use, the strings will be too loose.
