I've heard a couple... there are some very good ones, in any case no version that has come after the tour they did with Dave Grohl is as enjoyable as these first ones, I agree.

Seeing and hearing this is like stepping into a time machine. I remember sitting on the grass, zonked, ready for my first QOTSA live experience. This concert blew my mind.

How freaking cool is that. I'm a little younger than you. I would have loved to see QOTSA in the late 90s early 2000s.

Oh, as a child of the 90's I was doing a lot of hip-hop when this was happening... thank god Manson (wow, how ironic), Pearl Jam, RATM, the Foos... kept me close to rock until I discovered QOTSA (a whole constellation of music in itself with side projects and all) in 2003 or so. These guys are right up there with the rock, and the blues classics in my book.

He's never fully been able to recreate that guitar tone without that Ovation GP. and QOTSA have never been able to recreate their sound without Nick. The band has progressively gotten worse since his departure.
@GergActual6 жыл бұрын
duhlike I think that’s the point. If he wanted to keep that tone, he’d have kept using that equipment. The band hasn’t gotten worse, if anything they’ve become musically more complex. They’ve just changed.
