A weapon is a necessary, but last measure of protection against violent disruptions of life, and in an ideal world ,no weapon would ever be necessary in the first place. They're truths Kratos learned (along with many MANY other truths that don't have to do with this discussion) long ago, and Brok's blessing stands within them. That Brok made that part of his blessing says so much without saying much at all, and its awesome.

"Will I ever know the answer to this riddle?" Well, yes. But tbh there's a good chance you're not gonna like it. In regards to the scene with the lady, When Kratos says "It is the nature of a thing that matters, not it's form." I personally think that is the most powerful line in the entire game. The complete respect and kindness that Kratos shows Brok in that moment is just beautiful. He is truly a friend. And you'll notice, if you watch that scene again, that the lady only ever looks at or gestures to Kratos, even when Brok is speaking. Even at the beginning when she wants the bag, she holds her hand out to Kratos, not Brok, the one with the bag. She is genuinely unaware of Brok's presence because of that missing "soul bit."

So in the myth Draupnir is a ring that was I believe made by Brok and Sindri in the myth it was made as a bet with Loki but Draupnir is a ring that multiplies every 9 nights (the number 9 is a huge pattern in the mythology) and since Brok and Sindri had it before it was used to make the spear it was an infinite source of materials which is probably why they were able to make all their tools and things

Good to see there's still no tiny creature in the Nine Realms that's safe from a little random Tofu murder. :Ρ Wielding a legendary, magical weapon of the gods with an exuberant "poke, poke, poke"? Could you be any more adorable? lol And badass, too-you picked up on how to use the spear _ridiculously_ fast. The whole forge section is one of my absolute favorite parts of the game, and I was right there with you getting emotional over Brok and Kratos. This time was no exception. All-around great episode. In the dream once baby Atreus disappears it is just Kratos alone in darkness with his scars. There is no more dialog in that scene past that point, but you can tell exactly what Kratos is thinking. He is terrified of losing his family again and he is terrified of becoming the monster he once was again. Great visual storytelling and a great physical performance by Christopher Judge.

"It needs the blessing of a great blacksmith." I don't think there is a better sentence in to show the growth of Kratos as a character over the course of all the games in the franchise. From saying "I care little about the world and its suffering..." (in Chains of Olympus) to calling Brok a "great blacksmith" because his friend needed some comfort in a moment of need. So good.

When one of the Norns called Kratos "Cruel Striker" that is a nod to the original Norse mythology and the 2018 game as well. In the original Norse Loki is the child two Giants Laufaye (Faye) and Farbauti. The name Farbauti translates to "Cruel Striker". The tie to the 2018 game is on the mural in Jotunheim that we see at the end the Giants listed Atreus' name as Loki, but they also listed Kratos' name as Farbauti.

I really loved the parallel you drew between Atreus and Balder. One thing I noticed as a played was that Odin and Atreus have very similar attributes, just like Odin and Loki in the myths. I think Odin is what Atreus would have turned into had he continued down his darker path in the first game and didn’t have good influences like Kratos/Faye.

Pink Tofu is possibly the strongest evolution yet in the journey to become a full anime princess. We need to bring in Dutch or something before she becomes too powerful. Speaking of manipulators, I do have to give big props to Odin's actor. On paper, having him be this "Nordic CEO" type personality (last ep even had him juggling Skype calls via ravens) could have easily come across as cheesy or just weird, but he really makes it work.

WE CAN FINALLY TALK ABOUT THE DRAUPNIR SPEAR! It's so much fun, I love it. It's simply great, kind of like the song edit you put together. I think I like it more every time I hear it. It's something that you've obviously put a lot of thought and work into and it shows. Speaking of putting in work, good lord this is a long video. Your longest yet if I'm not mistaken. I'd be scared to know how much longer it would be if all the footage of you hunting ravens 😉(or Rodin Avens as you called them) was still included. That transition at 1:11:30 was clean af though. KNEW you were gonna tear up when Kratos asked Brok to bless the Draupnir Spear. Also, you seemed intrigued by the symbols the blood formed before it turned into the flag on Draupnir, so I'll explain them to you. The first symbol to appear is the Greek letter Omega, which has been the symbol of the God Of War franchise since its debut. The second symbol that appeared was the Greek letter Lambda, which served as the symbol for Laconia in Ancient Greece, where Sparta was located. It was also the symbol for Sparta itself, as Spartans would have the Lambda emblazoned on the faces of their shields.

It’s kinda distracting how pretty you look in this video. You look gorgeous in all of your videos really but the pink hair is working for you especially well. Always love when a video starts with a bit of storytime with Tori. The breakdown of your obsession with combining the songs was fun and you bopping in your seat to your mashup was hella cute. (Also love that I called the exact moment when the idea of comparing Atreus and Baldur popped into your head last video) And of course, your breakdown of the characters psychology was well thought out and soomething that is so unique to you and your channel The genuine panic in your eyes when you briefly forgot the controls for Kratos was hilarious (not you comparing him, even in a small way, to Levi. The AoT rot is real with you) and boy, you sure do get stuck in a lot of animations; it’s almost like it’s an excuse 😏 The barking dogs were annoying, I agree Man, that Berseker fight gave me so many flashbacks to the Valkyrie streams which hold a special place in my heart because they’re when I finally joined the community. Totally in character that you found her easier than the puzzles Your reaction to everything that happens at the forge was pretty much exactly the same as mine. And your glee at getting the spear and finally being able to access the yellow spots was adorable which was immediately offset by the sheer joy in your eyes when you used all three weapons to kill enemies…who am I kidding, you smiling and giggling while slaughtering trolls is hot Can’t believe this was your longest video on the channel because it just flew by. It’s always so much fun watching you emotional invest in fictional characters. And that look was worth the effort cause…goddamn, Tori Oh, and I guess ‘Raven’

Hei Queen. Try using Lunda armour set and to benefit for the set option use fists. It will be easy mode and inflict poison which reduces enemies level and armour and you do a lot more damage. Also pair it with sonic arrows from Freya and Atreus. That will be easy mode. Keep it up. Love your vids.☺️

We have ourselves a music mixer, you did great with it! Deliverance is one of my favourite songs too in the franchise, Atreus’s theme is linked to kratos’s theme with the three starting notes “dun dun dun! Dun dun dun!” And kratos’s theme being slower and darker showing off the difference in innocence between the two. Atreus has this light hearted theme, very quick very exciting, kratos has a slow rugged theme which slowly increases in speed as the song goes on
