If you can get a gel called gummy. There’s two types one is a wax (edge control) the other is a hair gel. Trust me they work well

@@deeplydeeplydope1111 Glycolic acid in it too strong for your skin I would look for a cleanser like that or something foam or gel for oily skin but the glycolic is good for getting deep in those poresAnd exfoliating at least twice a week glow recipe also has a good cleanser and toner a lot of people aren’t going to buy the stuff I use I use Jan Marini products and they are expensive but it does work as long as you use it right and a little goes a long way Tacha water cream is also good but it’s also expensive but I’ve been using the same jar of it for about almost a year now and I’m not even halfway through it but I don’t use a whole lot either I understand a lot of people try to go natural now but sometimes natural just not it sometimes you need something a little stronger Also do extractions they hurt but it’s a necessary evil

I dont know what the hell i be doing wrong. But my hair dont be wanting to slick down!!! There's always some damn strong hulk ass peices that will not lay down. Or they will for 2 mins and then bust out of whatever gel I use. And when you guys do this its supposed to last multiple days right? Mine be done by the end of the night. I did one for my birthday photoshoot by that night it was done. I used hicks edge control, and edge booster style factor gel, and water and conditioner. I don't under stand and im fed up. Because I would love to slap a pony tail or a braid in my hair for a couple days. But shyt...my hair just dont wanna do right.

K it’s not the most protective style but styles that don’t need constant manipulation can be a protective style. Some protective styles can last for 2 months some for less than a week

You really showed me a way to do my ponytails. I can make them sometimes sometimes I can't. when they come out good it's usually by chance. I'll make the ponytail then brush the front together without parting just brushing together etc lol. Now I know the actual technic. My daughter slays the heck out of the style but I never bothered her on showing me cause she was doing it most of the time. The days she wasn't available was when I might get it right or not lol. I tried this with my medium sized 4b/4c hair and almost cried 😭 because it didn't work. I took my morning out to try this and my hair wasn't taking the hairstyle AT ALL. trust me if you have smoother and more fluffier hair than I have then this hairstyle will work like MAGIC for you.

It works. Just make sure your hair is damp, you use moisturizer and gel, and that you tie it up. It will fluff out as it gets dry. You need to make sure you are combing through your hair as well to get the top flat and out all the fluff in the ponytail

This method works best for LOW POROSITY HAIR!!! By the time High Porosity hair gets all that water, moisturizer, etc it’ll cause severe shrinkage & extreme frizz especially once dried😫😫😫... I wished the YT Gurus would specify that certain methods doesn’t works best on porous hair.

They don’t say it because they aren’t professionals and it isn’t up to them to make that distinction for viewers. I have high porosity have and have done countless slick back ponytails just like this. It’s really up to the viewer to know their hair and add or skip steps to cater to their specific needs.

Im not sure what texture my hair is … I think it’s 4c it gets dry really fast .. but curly really quick ! I always have to make sure my hair has something in it or else it will get dry and break off easily . And every time I slick my hair back it ends up curling right back up so I tend to use a lot of gel and edge control etc

No need to identify hair type for a style. Just use your eyes and it should be obvious if hair type does not match. This hair typing is over inflated. The key is to get to know your hair and do the style until you master it like she did. That is how you do styles practicing not hair typing.
