Growing up in a predominantly Catholic country, I was told all my life that being gay is wrong in all sorts of way and is a sin against God. Hearing a religious Christian woman say to five gay guys that they are “instruments of your love and grace to a herding world” is A VERY HUGE IMPORTANT THING TO ME. Sparks hope. She's not the only one. I've met so many awesome and open gay, lesbian and trans people in my church, and some of them have gone on to be priests. Don't get me wrong, there are haters in my church too, but the theology is on OUR side, not theirs. Like, hit me up for theological arguments for why those two or three verses people like to quote to justify their hateful behaviour have nothing to do with consenting adults. Jesus preached love and non-judgement. Them folks are full of fear and hate and judgement. They say they need Jesus, they don't know how right they are.
