Queer Straight Pour :P - Pride Month Pour 1 - rainbow colors

As June is the designated PRIDE MONTH ;) I wanted to dedicate a couple paintings to it and kicking things off with a queer straight pour ;D
I will use the rainbow colors in a couple of paintings with different techniques and see what I can get. I must say I am super happy with the result of this painting ;)

Love!!!! There ended up being way more white in it than I expected to see, and sadly some of the rainbow colors were lost. Somehow you ended up with something that looks like a view of the earth from space?! Can't wait to see what else you come up with for pride month!

Beautiful. ... It could be that when I use a board like that, The board itself curls up on the sides, when I leave it to dry, and the paint eventually rolls into the middle. . That my boards are not of high quality ???

Well these boards are not expensive as well but they do not warp while they are drying. I usually put one cup under each edge, for larger ones also under each side and 2-3 under the center - this keeps it pretty even for me. But agreed...it is a bit trickier than a regular canvas. It depends a bit on the fabric. Some fabric 'shrinks' and stiffens when it gets wet and so forces the board to bend...mine seem to be good on that end.

you can prevent that when you paint some thin layers of acrylics on it before you pour. This prevents the poured paint/water to soak into the board and should make things easier for you.

It’s a cloud pour. Mine always fail boo. I’ve used panels but they warped.

When I want to get one mine fail as well. Whenever I do not try to get a cloudy look...it just happens ^^

oooh, really like this first one (pausing to write my thoughts before I forget lol) at the beginning looked like looking at the eye of a storm through a radar, then it started looking like a horse's head shape cloud, then a cosmic puma appeared (min 5:15) and stayed mostly even in the dry version!!! how awesome! Can't wait to see what comes next! ♥ Edit: at min 7:24 it also looks like the hands of a god, pointing or going to poke into the universe! Edit 2: just realized I was under my other account, so deleting my other comment lol

I also had a couple moments where I just wanted to stop. I often wished the pour paintings had a pause button or 'undo' function *lol* And yes - rarely but it happens - super happy with the result. As usual having a hard time to see what you can figure out in it but this sounds soooo poetic. Must confess I always look forward to read your comments.

@@MKLGRMFineArt I hear you about wanting a pause/undo button with paint lol, I've felt the same when painting I've told myself only if it worked like MS Paint where you can press Ctrl+Z to undo the last step... (this is easy with other crafts like crochet) lol I wished I could show you what I see, but at the minutes I wrote, I can def see a shape like a "knight" chess piece, and like a (you might be too young to remember this cartoon) the Thundercats logo, and at the end, it looks like the hand of God from Michaelangelo's "Creation of Adam" painting.
