Quentin is that ridiculously knowledgable cinephile at the local Blockbuster (remember them?) who gives every customer checking a movie out a brief synopsis of the film's plot, a career summary of each leading cast member, and whether his own critical opinion differs from what mainstream critics are saying about it. David O. Russell started making films even before Quentin Tarantino. I don't know what's your definition of a "legend" and I'm not saying he's better than Tarantino or anything like that, but he surely needs to be respected as an independent filmmaker who went mainstream and succeeded a lot on that. Now, Tom Hooper is the one I wouldn't necessarily consider a legend on par with all of those but he's a fine director nevertheless. Also, love you Andrew. You are truly a legend.

His notion about cinema being the working man's art form rings so true, and I've realized that's why he's my favorite director. He doesn't make movies for film snobs, critics or the intellectual elite. He makes movies for the PEOPLE. For your average Joe working a 9 to 5 job, for the high school dropouts who sell dope to get by, for underpaid nurses and high-paid lawyers alike. Basically for anyone and everyone. You don't need a fancy degree to appreciate his work. In fact your probably better off without it judging by the disparity between the critics score and audience score for his movies. His whole legacy is basically a big middle finger to cultural elitism.

Alejandro: Most passionate of all, a joy to watch. Danny: So nice and gentle, always very attentive to everyone's stories, but giving some nice contributions when asked. itsthehouse! Please tell me the substance of kill bill and django. They are b movies with simple revenge plots. Characters are two dimensional and as for style like i said tarentino literally rips off shots from older films. Revisor dogs is a rip off of city on fire, kill bill is a rip off of lady snowblood etc. also the man cant write a straight narrative to save his life. He cuts up his movies into chapters because he simply cant find a way to pace a movie properly. The only movie of his (and his best) that does that is jackie brown and thats because its based on someone elses material. Tarantino is the definition of all style no substance

Editing of this is the problem. You can see the seams where the editor is trying to condense and save time and so cuts answers off to move to the hosts next question.

I get that he was trying to keep the conversation on point, but all his questions were so boring. These directors seize every opportunity to shift the conversation to something interesting, and Galloway keeps returning them to the same old boring questions. It's frustrating to watch, really...

Tarantino is unashamedly himself around all these men who share his craft, but his passion is unmatched.I love that he can stay true to himself even when his charisma and energy isn’t being reciprocated, and he speaks his mind anyways. I’m not even a huge fan of Quentin, but I respect him for his passion and love for cinema, you can feel the joy when he’s talking about movies. Dude has a great vibe

You can see.... through their brilliance how much is on their minds... They have to hold back so much or would love to contribute so on each question... Next one add 5 hours plus time limit and put in a steak dinner and some good wine.
