You had me at "it's a weird book". Really glad you're getting back to another project rather than putting all your fulfillment eggs in the querying basket. This is why humans became multitaskers: we can do small things with great love. Querying is one step on a larger path and you can love it for what it is. I also don't think the agents rejecting you is a public failure. I could describe what I *do* consider public failure, but I choose not to syke you out.

ooooo the Sway with Me preview is so good! Omggg congratulations on the offer, that's fantastic news! And best of luck with The Floating House, it sounds like it's really taking off in the early stages! I think distancing it from the previous iteration and characters is a smart choice-- I know I often have difficulty rewriting a character after they've established themselves. Cool that you're getting a chance to recycle the other project at the same time! Waste not, amirite? XD

I work in tech! my focus is more UI design but I do a bit of everything since I work in an agency setting and have to jump around sometimes depending on the client. :)

it is for SURE stressful. I didn't vlog the early days of my querying journey bc my mental health was in the gutter (ha), but it really does take a lot of time and patience and pushing through the rejections. so much of querying is just timing! manifesting good things for you!!! ☺💛

thank you!! I will talk more about this in an upcoming video! I would say I did one revision draft and then subsequent drafts were focused on line-editing. it was roughly three drafts, all in all, but I wasn't formally keeping track of it :)
