Get the 3s if you're newer to VR and maybe on a tight budget but still want the the newest games that most likely won't be supported by the Quest 2. Get the 3 if money isn't an issue and/or switching from the earlier Quest models. I'm out here buying more games for my 3 than I do on Steam. I'm hooked!

Great video! I just want to say that the Quest 3S lenses actually have 16% more surface area than Quest 3. Also although the Q3S is smaller, the headset has 20mins more battery life in comparison to Q3

I think the Quest 3s is a great starter headset for those who haven't tried VR yet. But I think it kinda missed the mark with having those lenses still being there. I can understand that maybe they're cheaper, but I really wish we just had a Quest 2 pro with pancake lenses instead for the same price instead of a Quest 3s. But it doesn't sound bad for the price point.

I think reducing the Quest 3 was a masterstroke by Meta. A couple of my buddies were waiting for 3s, but went for the 3. I demoed my Q2 and Q3 back to back for them, so they could understand the lens and resolution. It's a pity you can't do this A B test in a store.

I just ordered a refurbished Quest 3 yesterday for $379. I will be upgrading from the Quest 2. I will also be getting the boboVR S3 pro. I think 6 hours of play time will be plenty!

man my quest 2 just got stuck in a bootloop but im super into thrill of the fight. Im also looking into getting TOTF2 so damn i might pull the trigger on the quest 3s soon. Afterpay may be my best friend really soon. damn facebook for having a decent headset when it works.

The price difference in Canada is around $300 after taxes. The headset I want the most is the psvr2 (if on sale) but Batman is making me want the 3S

How big is the difference between the lenses? The last time I used VR was with a rift S. I am debating between 1 quest 3 or 2 times the quest 3s. I'll mainly play together with my GF, so perhaps having a worse lens but playing together brings a better experience than a better lens + pass and play? I've no option to test them side by side sadly.

I would always recommend the Q3. The lenses are the best thing about it in my opinion. The clarity, the huge sweet spot, the higher resolution amount to an experience greater than the sum of it's parts. I have a Q2 and I struggle to go back to it now. I get that having two Quests would be great fun. If you think you will seriously get into VR games a couple of times per week, I would get the Q3. If you are just going to play casually from time to time, then the 3s is enough. I would recommend getting an app called Quest Games Optimizer from day 1. This enables you to launch your apps with graphics and performance boosts. Best $10 I have spent on my Quests.

Stop buying Fresnel headsets. They are completely out of date and put unnecessary strain on your eyes. Please think about your health and if you care about money then buy second hand Pancake Quest 3 but please don't use this outdated technology anymore - you will thank me for it. You shouldn't even consider something like this for your children. Their eyes are developing there, the Fresnel technology is so poor in clarity that they are a clear strain on the eyes and development. The Quest 3 is on sale so often in the US, those few extra dollars are worth it. As a VR enthusiast, I tell you this from the heart. Meta made a mistake in saving money on the lenses.
