The quest for 11's continues with a Reische 170 degree performance thermostat. A cooler engine will allow more aggressive tuning and keep the engine at safer temps. With the stock thermostat I'd see temps of 210-212 on hot Tennessee days. This thermostat has kept me at 190 or below since being installed.

I Just installed a new radiator fan and a 160f performance thermostat! Temp's staying around 180 to 190 hot day about 200 fan kick's on around 200 drop's around 185! My car was overheating around 210 or 220 oil light came on.. and the problem was the radiator fan it was going out..

I forgot to make a comment on how good-looking your boxer is I also have a 60lb female myself along with a dogue de Bordeaux, Cane Corso and English bulldog.It's funny how a lot of Mustang owners have a lot in common.

Reische or Mishimoto Thermostat ? for 2014 mustang GT 2.9 Whipple charged It is mostly TOO HOT in here.. 100F and up like living in hell all year long ...

Hi how's it going I have a 15 Mustang GT I just put a Paxton Supercharger on it I ordered a 170 thermostat supposably the mechanic installed it? But I am seeing 208 to 212 cylinder head temperatures I believe that is stock now I did have Lund tuning adjust. For a 170 thermostat I'm just confused about this

nstackerns It almost sounds like they missed the thermostat on the tuning. They should set the fans to kick on at a lower temp. Mines tuned now and I don’t think I’ve seen higher than 192 or so after a couple WOT pulls and even then it drops down lower after. Either that or wasn’t installed. Those temps sound almost identical to what I was seeing stock.

Hey doomsday410 been watching your Channel for awhile now love your build, I’m not on any social media but you and I have very similar builds except mine is lighting blue and a different front clip. 15blackstang 15 Yes they do but this one can only be used for the V6 and GT. I think Unleashed Tuning sells them as well as a few others.

Atticaz Yes. I hit MPT up they said retune is not required but that they can take advantage of the cooler temps with a retune. I have something else in the works that requires a retune. I’m having it all retuned together to save cash.

HELP, I got a 2015 Mustang Gt with a JLT CAI and a LUND 93oct Tune, but the fan is always on even tho the temps arent even that high, can this be fixed with a revised tune or do you need to change the Thermostate?

Richard Lorenzana Found this on Mustang6g that explains it well. 1. Turn AC off. If the fans stop, you're done. It's working as intended. 2. If they're still running, then check the CHT value in the instrument panel readout. If it's above 200F/90C, then let it cool down. 3. When CHT is below 200F/90C, then check to see if both fans are running or just one. 4. If it's both, pull FC1. If the fans stop, then replace FC1. 5. If it's only one fan running then pull FC3. If the fan stops then replace FC3. Your Mustang Owner's Manual has a diagram of the fuse box that's located beside the engine. @@Doomsday410 The procharger one was sarcasm for sure. This one I'm serious, why would changing out the thermostat make the car run cooler? The engine should still produce the same amount of heat at idle
