For myself and thinking about applying to be on the Australian version of Alone next year, I feel like there are 4 things that go into increasing your chances of getting on Alone. Well 5 if you include actually applying, you have zero chance if you don't do that. I think a lot of people focus on bushcraft and survival skills and trying to show themselves as being experts. While it is definitly important to have skills and one of the things the producers will loot at, I think almost everyone who applies has them. So I think the 2 main things the producers are looking at when short listing applicants is Back story and Personality. The last thing to a much less an extent than all the others would be prior experience at filming and being in front of a camera. I think for the application you really need to ask yourself and answer for them the question of why. Why do you want to be on Alone? Saying "Because I want to" or "Because it would be a great experience and adventure" is good but it's also what everyone else is thinking as well. Really dig deeper for a deeper answer to that question and show the producers exactly what is driving you to wanting to be on the show. Best of luck 👍🏽

Hello Sir, Thank you for that perspective on that. I actually have another video that goes over the why (Named Quest to get on the Alone show, Why and Figure 4) but I think I can start to reiterate that a bit more in future filming. Thank you for that. I will also start showing more of the filming aspect that I am doing as well. Thank you again and I hope you get on Australian Alone.

@@QuesttogetontheAloneShow-qq3cz Too easy. You don't have to show you're filming, I mean show by example. A lot of people tell me they really like the way I film, in that I shoot things from a number of different angles to give the viewer different perspectives of things. The producers of the show will clearly see this effort I take rather than just locking the camera off in one position for an entire build. Also how you actually have a shot framed will tell the producers a lot about what footage they will likely get from you if you are out there having to record 5+ hrs of footage each and every day. The other thing with my YT channel is that I didn't want to do the same as 95% of the other bushcraft channels out there. I still learn, practice, and improve at different things that I never bother filming because the internet is flooded by them. This also would possibly show the producers that I am me and not just doing the same as everyone else on KZbin doing bushcraft and survival things.
