In 1984 I got to see Krishnamurti in Varanasi in India i .I had spent a many months at Dhamagiri practicing Vipassana under the guidance of S N. Goenka Krishnamurti when he spoke challenged everyone in the room to let go .I was sitting with group of Vipassana friends.and he challenged us to what we were observing .He said said we had to let the observer die. Somebody said to you mean to die like a corpse and he said you all make me want to cry .He had eyes like diamonds .One of my Vippasana friend said quite wisely that Krishnamurti was implying not to play the sensation game that Goenka always warned was a trap .But to be in the.moment with attachment to what arises Goenka had very strong Metta or compassionate love for all beings demonstrated by teaching Vipassana in jails as well as being non sectarian I recomend the documentary Doing Time doing Vippasana. I am now 65 and have.alot of gratitude when I was young I got to meet these two remarkable men .

Cravings are like addictions has to be submerged slowly and killed slowly...but his attitudes is to raise that. So i totally disagree osho in meditation techniques. I even heard of shree2 ravishankar and even tried for few times. Butits a total waste...he is all just money minded person. He plays with money everywhere. Even my batchmates went to him and... Gave alot of money.. But they all are submerged inbetween toward way to peace . Other than that his role is toward hinduism religion spread and involved with political party too. He did campaigning for bjp in my area. I don't think any spiritual leader do that. He is total shit. Even they do small parties to create der world to attract new commers in der group. And one more thing he stealed.... "Art of living" word from goenka guruji's speech and now doing business with that pure phrase of him. Spirituality is nonreligious, non-political, just a way toward peace. Goenka gurujis meditation too i had accepted after i applied it in my life and it had changed my life. I am either lost or the only one who has so far found the truth that none of these talks, teachers, practices, non-practices, or whatever have achieved their transformative aims. Look at the world of human behavior with its violent narratives and palliative remedies that we collectively subscribe to and are mindlessly invested in today. In our pitiful attempts to escape the field of secular destructiveness, we imagine there is a "go within" to make the noise of our existence go away as if "the self" were a cancer or other pernicious disease. For a time, through practice, workshops, retreats, and/or emotional surrender to an influencer/guru, thought can be neutralized, and the mind made clear and calm. Still, to what purpose if the temple is burning to the ground. What I have just said is a metaphor where the individual (you and me) are sitting on our cushions, listening to a talk, or affirming our presence in the "now" as if it were a piece of real estate one could purchase for the price of a book. All the while, Rome, in the form of our socioeconomic, geopolitical, and ecosystem, is at varying stages of burning down. We are the field, and as proof, can you separate yourself from your computer, the store-bought food you eat, the air you breathe, the clothing you wear, the language you speak, and your cell phone? Can you be completely honest with yourself without rejecting this incisive point of view? We are the field. We are its education, health care, politics, science, arts, militaries, technologies, etc. We are the makers of weapons, drugs, alcohol, junk food porn, and every form of distraction as enterprise, who then seek also as enterprise to find some miraculous cure, holistic or spiritual remedy for the same. What is missing in all of this is clarity, vibrancy, curiosity, and co-creative purpose, where we come together every day throughout the year to actively train ourselves in the arts of transformation with the same, if not greater intensity as we have historically trained ourselves in the arts of war. Anyway, I doubt that anyone reading this rant has a clue or interest in what I have just written. Perhaps your Om chanting is enough to turn the tide so that our children can live happy and healthy lives for generations to come.

No teacher has shown clearly the path to be no one. In the real sense of it. K shows it, his teachings obviously, if understood, make you a teacher. And then you observe beauty of understanding oneself operate on you and mutate your brain, which make you a sensitive and intelligent being, as the great one was. And then you had insight into things. Then begin the beauty in man, the only life worth to live. Life of great creativity

Mr S N was just a teching techniques, he was a pioneer of Vipassna but no match for those on top. He has talked about all gurus and tried to up ante for Vipassna. He was a good teacher but not achiever. He seem to have validation from achievers.
@kiyu5634 жыл бұрын
He was an achiever of the topmost spiritual level, which no other can even think of, this achievement develops a modesty in a person, a state of mind without ego and self admiration. So, in worldly matters you won't find pujya Goenka ji to take part in a race to prove himself superior.He kept on his mission continued in order to make maximum people benefitted from this wonderful path of liberation. He openly told the name of Bagwan Buddha as the pioneer of it, this requires a courage ,which you can't gather unless you experience nirvana at least once. Today 70% gurus are there who attend Vipassana course, learn it, and under the name of some popular scripture teach the same. Because if they take Tathagata's name, their followers in India will reduce in a formidable quantity their popularity and income will fall down excessessivly.
@ranirathi33793 жыл бұрын
lol!! if he sought validation, he'd charge a hell of a lot money for his Vipassana courses worldwide which get full within 15 minutes of being available for applying. if he sought validation, he'd make it easier and dilute it so many more could come - the BIGGEST factor that deters people from their first 10-day Vipassana course is it is the toughest thing on earth. if he sought validation, there wud be cult followings from his name, like Sadhguru and other fake babas.

@@preciousreading1934 I am not a follower of anyone, just uttering facts. I think you have a very shallow understanding of eastern philosophy. Understand the nature of words like "enlightenment" better before throwing them here and there. Otherwise, you would not ask questions like, what did someone achieve, it's an inward thing. It's not a degree you hang on the wall. Look inward. Also, I think you don't understand the concept of offence, the offence is what you derive from a word like you did from this word "dude". Someone might not take offence in the same word. It's a widely used online colloquial, and I would keep using it, unless I know I am offending the other person, like in this case I did (unknowingly). Also, my conversation with my father is something you are not privy of and I would suggest you also keep your conversation with your father to yourself. About reference to Vivekananda (not with "B", only in Bengali it's ব in sanskrit transliteration is always V), read Rajyoga. He cited very similar technique and called it প্রত্যাহার (pratyahaar).

You might know SN Goenka by reading Krishnamurti , but you will never experience Krishnamurti without SN Goenka. The thoughtless state of mind where there’s no movement of thought but without any effort to cease thinking can only be achieved when the mind (and not the brain)is cleared of its past impressions. As K used to say, you experience a thought /emotion/feeling coming , you observe it without reacting to it and then it transforms into something totally different- Vipassana teaches exactly that. How to be aware of thoughts coming up, experience them without reacting and then see them transform. I’ll be happy to assist you if there’s any clarification needed. Give this a chance brother it might be what you’ve been looking for. Peace and happiness to you.

@@kabirdas5572 that's the problem. Most hindus are blindly following meaningless rituals, judgements, demi gods, caste, money and have forgotten what ancient Hinduism was actually about - non-duality, being present, peace, love and realisation of Oneness. The brahmins/pandits have created this system to enslave the below to keep themselves in power. You do not need any hierarchy to realise Oneness. The hindu religion has become a money making and power retaining scam and led people to lose their way and become blind. Brahmins have always tried to violently repress, murder and massacre anything that challenged their position - Buddhism, Sikhism. The reason Buddhism left India is because the Hindus massacred them in a power grab so they had to flee to China/Lanka. People went to Buddhism as it didn't rob them of money for pointless rituals like the brahmins were doing. Ironically, India has the wheel of Ashoka in their flag. Sikhs gave historically helped Hindus from Muslim oppression but they themselves get repressed by them. Sikhs celebrate Bandi Chhor Divas instead of Diwali as Guru Hargobind Singh released 52 hindu rulers whom Jahangur was going to force them to convert to Islam. This would have totally changed India and the Sikhs knew this. No acknowledgement is given to them for this and they are constantly told they are a branch of Hinduism, when they are actually an evolution on Advaita Vedanta but with many other influences so a religion in their own right. It may be viewed that Sikhism is the highest form of ancient hinduism/non-dualistic Vedism - hence the struggle with the hindu traditionalists. There is genetic research in 2013 by Harvard geneticist David Reich showing that the caste system as found today is only 2000yrs old when the migration of the people from the West (Aryans/Persians) started. Before then everyone mixed together.
