According to the rapture. Matthew 24 clearly says AFTER the tribulation not b4

Mathew 24 is history. The entire prophecy had to do with the destruction of the Jews, their temple and Jerusalem. You can invent things from Jesus' prophecy but that does not make it rue.

This is what most people teach, but the seven heads are seven world empires, not individuals. Revelation 17:9-10 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. What this means is easily determined by comparing Daniel and Revelation together. The Bible teaches seven world empires affecting God’s people. By the time of Daniel, two had already passed off the scene: Egypt and Assyria - so Daniel only mentions the ones from his time on: Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome (in two parts - pagan Rome and Papal Rome). John says this at the end of the first century: Revelation 17:10-11 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. The five that had already fallen were: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, and Greece. One is: Rome (same one that tried to kill the child in Revelation 12:1-3. Rome - the one currently in power in John’s time, pagan Rome. Daniel pictures this as the final empire before the Messiah comes, which would later split into two (pictured by the two legs of the statue), then finally the ten toes which will be the seven year empire of the Antichrist. The continuation of the Roman Empire - the one that was still to come after Revelation was written, papal Rome. This would be the longest of all the empires. The final seven year end-times empire of the Antichrist would come out of the seventh kingdom. See Revelation 17:11.

It would have been helpful to tell us that the Pagan Roman Empire seemed to have died, and it did, but the Papacy was there to take up with the Holy Roman Empire which was hardly Holy and slaughtered millions of Christians in Western Europe and the British Isles. The Roman world was amazed/
