The decision is based on where the foul is committed not where you fall, or else Neymar would keep rolling 😂.

Billy making 3 subs in one go with only 5 mins left,poor decision imo.Its so hard for any sub to get Upto speed with a game, especially a final,so for 3 players to have to try and get Upto speed at the same time ,not ideal at all. I can back that... As a player, I hate the "line shift" subs. It helps no one when you sub out 3 players, especially across your midfield, in one go. Totally disrupts the flow of play...and those 3 were your top 4 players on the day (Gibbs in the back gets the other nod).

Agreed. Looked the stronger side out there and definitely played a better technical game, but some selfish play (Ade) and an absolutely bogus awarded pk for the other team well outside the run of play pushed into penalties (which is the stupidest rule I have ever witnessed...two halves of extra time should have been played).

Coach was tough on them at the end in the dressing room. As soon as Ade missed that penalty (which he shouldn't have taken) the game was lost from then. Football is about fine margins and being clinical if you don't take your opportunities you'll pay for it. Hence why the league season ended the way it did and why this final ended the way that it did. Anyways head up there are some really talented players on this team and you guys will come back stronger next season for sure.👍

Sometimes the better team doesn't win. Shocking how they divided up the fans though...looked like a home game for Brook. They took up the middle over both benches and forced your fans into the corner. That miss by Ade on the pk (that was a miss...horrible take) and then the selfish play that lead to the non-penalty kick (fouled outside the box and the guy just stumbled enough to fall over the line...by the law, that's a free kick outside the box) that Brook got awarded was the highlight shifts of the game.

Teniola and Sham have their own ways to take a penalty and it works majority of the time for them. When Jorginho misses a pen he doesn't change up his whole style which he's practiced for years and neither should they. The opposition goalkeeper made 2 good saves and should get the credit rather than hating on the players who missed.

Sham - sort of. To date I’ve seen him do Jorginho’s type of pen a few times and score. In this game he went Panenka i.e. change in style which may occasionally work for pros when they can disguise it really well (OK, apart from Lookman), but it’s just a massive no for me in a Sunday League cup final - irrespective of the quality of the team generally. Agree that no matter the style if it works keep doing it - but why change/tweak it in a cup final shootout?

I mean...it was a winning game with the better team through run of play on the winning side until an incorrect call awarded a team in the dying minutes of the game a penalty to bail them out. A questionable offside call on a response goal after that pk as well as a clear foul inside the box not awarded to Baiteze were hard to ignore that didn't play into the outcome of the game. Not solely, but those 3 calls/non-calls were huge factors in the game (possibly 2 goals for Baiteze and 1 was definitely given for Brook).

Why no extra time? You looked to be getting into gear where you could have cruised, controlled and directed play. Fair plays to Brooke Athletic, they matched you and gave you a close run game. Sorry, but your penalties were a bit too lax: yes, on target but no pace. I am old fashioned and prefer a side-footed, well pace passs hit with pace and power. To lose it on the "softer" penalties is disheartening. Good season, well done.

I hate these cups lately. I get no extra time in the early rounds, but the final? Makes zero sense. And while I know it's highlights, it was extended showing almost the entire game. Definitely felt like the more technical, number of chances, and flow of the game ran through Baiteze even if they didn't get the deserved win in regular time. Brook seemed to want to take players out of the came completely with some of their challenges. #10 is probably still trying to get the grass stains off his leg from all those late slide challenges from behind.

As a ref, that was never a penalty. Perhaps from his vantage he couldn't see as well, but from the camera viewpoint we have the luxury of, it was a foul outside the box...player continued to stumble for about 10-15 yards and then fell when he got into the box. You always pull it back to the point of the foul.
